I am devestated and I never met the dog in person. This makes me realize how much we bond with the dogs on this forum, through the stories, challenges and triumphs shared by their owners on a regular basis. I know you hit a rough spot a few months ago, like we all do at some point, and you came through so nicely. I am so, so sorry that she is gone now and will miss the updates on her.

Tessa got to sleep in my bed these last few days, Leena's disappearance made me appreciate her so much more...but I was really hoping that she would be found alive and well.

I will keep you in my thoughts.

We really did have a turning point about a month ago.  She was really becoming a very nice dog.  I didnt realize how much I love her.  She really wormed her way into my life and heart. I can't imagine going to the park any time soon without her racing around through the corn fields or pointing at every single thing we see. I had so many plans and hopes for her. I came into work today, figured it would be better then just sitting at home.  I dont know how long I'll be here for.

You had some really, really rough days...the worry and search must have worn you down quite a bit, and now the devastating news - I would be a basket case.

In a way though you have closure. I can't imagine what it must be like to wonder whatever did happen to your dog, where she is, how she is being treated etc. At least you know she is alright where she is now, even if it's painful for you.

I know someone here in town whose dog disappeared I think 7 years ago. She still has ads out for him, and a reward for his return. He'd be 9 years old now. She said she would look for him until he "dies" of old age".

I can't begin to imagine how you must be feeling right now. You remain in my thoughts and prayers.

As someone who has been through some very devastating human deaths, knowing who really does care and who falls short is startling. Everyone here cares more than you can imagine, so count on us to make those who fall short not matter. We are here for you.
