I know I do it, I have nicknames for all my animals here. What are some of yours for your GSP's and others?
Xara is already Zoobee, and Zoobee Doo
Sniper is Diaper Doo (don't ask! LOL)
Sienna is Sie Sie, Sie Brown, or Browntown Girl
Louie is Lu Lu, Louestien, or Ouija
On a side note: My camelot macaw took one day to start calling "Xara, Xara, come here, Xara sit, down, down, goooddddd dog!" We haven't been doing any formal obedience with her yet, but he's taken what he's heard with the other dogs and applied it to her now LOL
And my one african grey sits in his cage singing "Zoobee, Zoobedy Doo!"
Cracks me up totally! |

| Haiko was affectionatly called The Beast until Bregon came along, now Bregon is called The Beast and Haiko is called The Producer. Bregon has a lust for life and busts into anything w/o regard for personal injury. Curiosity killed the cat but satisfaction brought him back. And Haiko will produce game wherever you take him, even if it's dead (and rotten). |

In addition to the simpler ones ("Jaspy" and "Chelse-Chelse") I have to admit that I sometimes call Jasper "Sweetie Boo" or "Boo Boy." And Chelsea knows she is sometimes "Babalu," which is a back-formation from "Chelsea-Lunatika, Chelsea-Lu, Babalu. . ."
And even sometimes "Beebop-a-lu-la!" |

The Dachshund: Bardale Dave's Favorite Whine -- is formally Zinfandel. Goes by: Zin, Zinny, and "Oh My God, what have you dragged onto the pillow"
Jill: Jilly Jazz, Jilly (originally she was called viola by the breeder)
Luke: Lukie, Sweetie Lukie (formal name is Voyager's Captain Picard -- but I didn't want to call him "Jean-Luc" after the captain of the enterprise -- imagine me running around the agility ring with "Jean-Luc -- OVER; Jean-Luc -- TUNNEL, Jean-Luc -- Teeter!, nope, not for me, so we went with a simple "Luke" for his regular call name).
Tara: Tara Tooser (Formal name Stelor's Reign of Tara)
Joy and Tracy: Collectively "The Wild Sisters" (as in: where are the wild sisters)
Joy: Joyus
Tracy: Trace

Murphy is Murf, The Mutt, Muttley, Muppet, Brown Dog, Puppy, or The Big One (as opposed to The Little One- our Maltese Thor). Although I think he thinks his name is MurphyNO! Thor is Thorbert, Thorbaby, King Thor, Fluffy One, Furbaby, Munchkin, Punkin-butt, and of course The Little One or the White One. Together they are Chocolate and Vanilla |

This is too good a topic to pass up. Our old girl Asia is known as "Fatty Pants" (She had a bit of a weight problem for a while) or "The Pants" or "THAT BROWN BITCH!!!!". Our boy Lincoln is known as "Lincosaurus Rex", "Linc-Linc" (must be said in a high and squeaky toned voice) and "Good Boy!" Our girl Geneva is known as "Neva", "Evil", "Evil Beaver" ('cause she loves to chew wood, I don't know why), "Princess" (all my husband's doing) and "THAT WHITE BITCH!!!" or "YOUR WHITE BITCH!!!" |
