Mel and Dave stopped by and we had a great visit. So much fun meeting people and putting faces with the posterson the forum! Benelli wanted to play with Xara but Xara wasn't ready to commit to something that big . We put the big girls in their kennels and let Xara roam around. She went over to Benelli to kiss her several times: Xara found her first pheasant, and racoon, and beaver, and ....many other criters in the basket. Xara ready for a nap and Benelli wanting to explore more. Benelli wanted her corn husk back from Xara And of course Ms. Dutchess that wanted to stay as far away from a new puppy as she could: Ms. Xara is for sure a cutie. She was falling to sleep as we were saying goodbye. Hopefully she sleeps the whole way home for them.

Oh wow you are so very lucky... I wish I could do a meet & greet. Thank you for sharing the pictures. I love the one with Benelli going for the corn husk.

Ah, so you let her slip away did you? She's very cute. (As are your two.) I agree is nice to meet other GSP owners -- we seem to bond in an instant when we meet at the dog park

everbell, I told Mel when she left that if Xara didn't work out for her she would have a forever home here. I don't think my husband wants me to bring any other little ones around because I dont want to let them go. We would have a house full

We had a great time visiting, thank you soo much for allowing us a much needed stop over for a bit and lunch was a great surprise too! Xara needs to learn to play with the big dogs, she wants to, but if they touch her she screams like she's being killed LOL. Poor Benelli wanted her to play sooooo bad and was so good with her, but Xara simply wasn't up for the big dogs yet, she still needs to stay on the porch with the pups for a bit. Those pictures turned out great!! My new screen saver is going to be the one of Benelli and Xara, that's adorable! Your dogs are a joy to be around, so friendly and outgoing. I loved it! I'd have taken Benelli if you'd have turned your back for a second! LOL We definitely have to get the girls back together again when Xara has some growth and some experience playing with the big dogs so she won't be so whimpy! With the gang here I am sure she will learn quickly how to keep up and take those paw knocks like a champ. She slept almost the entire way home after we left. She woke up about 1/2 hr out from home and wanted out to potty then went right back in her crate and was good as gold the rest of the way. She met the cocker spaniel and loves him, she also met the cat and thinks he's simply the most wonderful walking chew toy she's ever seen LOL. Sienna the older springer sniffed her and gave me a look like "you better take her back where you got her from right now!!!" They won't be running around together until I know Sienna will be ok with her, Xara is tooo small to be subjected to Sienna's types of corrections at this time. She meets Sniper tomorrow when he comes home from the kennels. We got home too late to pick him up today.
