Ooo -- bone on the floor. We have that too! The nosing around our ceramic floor is wood and it is pockmarked from Bo dropping it.

Rope toys last a day or two since Bo likes to grind his back teeth on ropes...

I get bones from the butcher, then stick them in the freezer...

Right now Wachter is working on a hip joint that was frozen and he is thoroughly occupied! Honestly they are the only things I seem to find that doesnt matter if the dogs completely destroy

Buddy has the black Extreme Kong, I must say I am amazed with what that thing can put up with.  Buddy can shred or destroy any toy in minutes, he's had the Kong for a month now and loves it and it's holding up great. Best investment I've made in a chew toy.

HAHA! I'm reading the warnings about the dogs slinging their toys around because it reminded me of the irish setter I had that had one of the ropes with a tennis ball on the end. Setter's are not the brightest bulbs in the package and Seamus certainly lived up to that statement.
He'd take that toy and start slinging it around and the tennis ball would be beating him in the head! Swing, BONK, yelp, Swing, BONK, yelp. I used to have to show him to hold the ball end and then swing the toy because the knot at the other end didn't hurt as bad!!!!!!
He'd also start swinging it and let go,,,,,,,,,,,God forbid if you were in the line of fire when he did that!
Favorites around here right now are rope toys and this stuffed animal that talks when you squeeze it. Sniper puts it on the ground and jumps on it's belly to make it talk then backs up and barks at it!

That is what Ringo does, but the big fat rope toy, so far, has held up.  I think it is because it is so big around.  Other rope toys are toast in just a few seconds.

What used to drive Wachter crazy is those toys that you slam down and they start jumping and playing music... he would go bonkers chasing (and killing) that thing!

A couple of years ago I bought a talking Christmas toy which the dogs loved.  It disappeared.  After several months I found it, faded and waterstained, in the yard.  I brought it in, they jumped on it, and in a feeble voice it said. . . .

"RUN RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN!  YOU CAN'T CATCH ME, I'M A GINGERBREAD MAN!"

Its still going.

These are few of Rocky's best toys. He loves them, durable but donot have to keep these stored in the garage. Have had these awhile

Hi Marie, Buddy had a few of those toys pictured, dummies only for training though, I have to say I don't think they would last long. Buddy really only started to destroy his toys after he turned 1 yr old, he had his first squeaky pheasant toy for his first 9 months.

We use these dummies for the tall stuff retrieves in the field behind us. GSPs just love to hunt up dummies in the tall grasses . Rocky goes nuts and loves the challenge. Lots of summer fun

Zimbass , we have been just lucky this year with these canvas rope toys type. Rocky is a turbo chewer and does destroy most toys. Jolly Balls get the handles chewed off in 15 minutes. Not happy until his tennis ball has a crack chewed in it.  Not happy until the squeaker is out of the stuffed toy. Rocky is 7 years old and just this year have noticed a slow down in him. He still has his moments.  When My husband gets him out on the game farms in the fall, Rocky kicks it up inot high gear and turns into a track star. He hoping this fall Rocky will be some what slowed down. I told him not to count on it.

Mom left all 4 rope tyoe dummy type toys on the table. Three times, I picked the Remington Canvas dummy off the table to play over the other three. So the Remington dummy cme out 3 times to this tall grassy field for me to retrieve.  Love Rocky
