We did see the vet today. He agreed that the peroxide that first 24 hours was not a bad thing. She is off it now along with benadryl and was given a steroid shot and meds to fight off the infection. So we should see some improvement in the next few days.

Wow, my guess was right. Check out that link I put in my post as you may find some useful info there as well. Belle has had problems from time to time with pyoderma when she gets a cut or a sting. Never looked quite like you pictures, but pretty darn close. The antibiotics and steroids will clear it us fast.
