Elle is 26" and 61lbs, Abby is 24" and 48lbs.

Are your girls spayed?  Early spayed females usually are going to be slightly abnormally taller and leaner than siblings not spayed early.  It also gives them a much narrower waist proportionally.

Yes both were spayed around 7-8 months old. I could be off maybe an inch on the height with elle. She is still tall for a female but looks to me to very proportional, she is not skin and bones at all, she is one solid muscle. Abby is the one I would like to put weight on, she's just not a big eater. She has a different build, much more slender(just like her mom). I would post pictures but my camera is not working. FWIW, if I do ever get another shorthair they will not be spayed or neutered until they reach maturity.

To give you a better idea of wht abby looks like go to www.2manydogs.net, scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on paul w/louie. louie is abby's brother. If you go to the right of the page and click on available puppies you will see a picture of abby's parents. There is a picture of Elle and I on the first page - underneath where it says good companion dogs. Not the best picture of elle but all I have for now.

Remington's mom *running rooster Ginger* was skinny and small, and Remington's dad *running rooster Rex* was HUGE and getting fat... but Remington has his mother's exact colors but rght now he is at the same height and probably weight as Ginger but hes only 6 months and still has growing to do. I'll have to weigh him and find out what he is now bc i weighed him 3 weeks ago and he was at 55 pounds.

That's what I figured.  My Abbey girl is the same way. She's about 25" and only around 50lbs in trial condition.  She looks more like a greyhound or foxhound than a GSP build wise.

That's ok though she's an All Age dog and runs like the wind!

Thank you Elizabeth Nice to have a compliment on a backwards day  At least my Husband said we are getting his weight checked every 2 months so we can cut back now on food so Rocky doesnot get weight up too high in the 90's again.
