So I got my entry confirmation in the mail today for nationals and the entry for rally is not listed.  My boy's conformation entry is listed as is the entry for my girl.  I did receive email confirmation of all of my entries and my credit card was charged for everything.  I had noticed that there was a difference of one dog between what was listed on the entry breakdown and what was in the judging program.  I'm sure when I call Roy Jones on Monday it will all be worked out, but I could use some reassurance over the weekend that they will be able to fix it.  This will be my first nationals and  we've been working really hard at training for rally.  Has anyone had difficulty with an entry being misprocessed and will the superintendent fix the problem even though it has closed?

Thanks!

There was a problem with 18 dogs who were misentered (and for awhile, entries were disallowed). Hopefully it has been cleared up now and everyone will be correctly shown as they were entered. I would check definitely with Roy Jones Dog Shows on Monday first thing (remember they are on Eastern time) , but in the meantime contact Terina Chernich at SouthMtnGSPs@aol.com as she has more information regarding the errors on the part of the superintendent.

I knew about the problems with entries in the NSS since I too had some, and had talked with Terina. I was thinking all was ok, but when I saw this post I decided to check the entries in the Judging Program that came today.  Thankfully all is still ok.  Slight moment of unease there.  I am sure that Roy Jones will fix the problem on Monday, especially after all the issues last week.  I would also recommend you print out your email receipts and take them with you just in case.

Don't have my judging program and entry confirmations yet, but probably Monday. I did the old fashioned snail mail, so all checks are cleared, etc. What a darned mess, tho.

Roy Jones actually called me as my dogs were all missing DNA numbers, but I had had problems entering online and called them and entered over the phone.  I asked them several times if they needed the DNA numbers and they said no, so I was bringing the info with me and the confirmations.  I then got a call asking for DNA numbers for Halo and Ringo, they said they had Belle's (not sure how).  I insisted on giving them hers anyway.  What a mess and how upsetting.  At least I have the program and all are on it and correct.  Whew!!

Yeah, they called me too, wanting Jasper's DNA number. I had done my entries over the phone and then emailed them both DNA numbers. While I had them on the phone, I made sure they had Autumn's DNA number. Why they processed his conformation entry and not his rally entry is beyond me. Thankfully I saved the confirmation emails on all of my entries so I will just call them on Monday. I'm feeling better that I wasn't the only one having problems. I'll feel better after I talk to them on Monday though!

I'll check on this and let you guys know anything I find out.  I know I had a very nice woman from San Fran call and say they were coming out for their very first NSS and had one Novice Rally entry (!!) that was denied.  I asked her to call Roy Jones, she did, and they indicated her entry would be accepted.  What a way to start out but it looks like all is well.  Now I have to scramble to figure out what this means for my ribbon count . . .

:-)  If any of you have any more input let me know as I'll pass it along.

Thanks,  Dave

So I spent the weekend worrying for nothing!  Called Roy Jones first thing this morning and apparently the entries are being mailed separately.  She did check his AKC# to verify and all is well.

Thanks everyone for your reassurances and we'll see you next week!!!  BTW-I live 60 miles north of Denver and it snowed here last night.  Don't know what it did down in your area Dave, but I'd really like spring to come and stay!!!

Got 3" of snow last night.  I was irritated since I put water into the RV yesterday morning (it was very nice) so I had to run the furnaces last night -- this is supposed to go away and warm up by Tuesday, so maybe one more night of furnaces.  I needed the RV for the Agility trial this coming weekend, and I pulled all the boxes of the oodles of stuff sent to us over the past few months -- I'd say we have 40-50 boxes of stuff sent for raffles, show operations, ribbons, etc, etc - -so it is proving to be non-trivial.  However, everything looks to be on schedule!

Just talked with the NSS Chairwoman and the numbers on the site remain correct. Also, issues with DNA vs entry validity should have been resolved by now -- if you are doing rally or obedience and still have issues please let me know -- I think this is now resolved.

Thanks! Dave

Dave,

You might want to post that last entry on the gsp-l also as I think there's several folks who don't hang out over here. See you soon (and send that SNOW on east and out of everyone's way, please! :) ) We were chilly last night and had to actually turn up the heat, but back to mid-80's in Cruces today!

Got my entry confirmation and judging programs in the mail today and everything is actually accurate except for one co-owner typo on their name...but the dogs are all fine!

Later,
Phyllis 'n tribe

The stuff that dropped the snow in CO and chilled Phyllis out is going through Austin now.  We are under tornado, flash flood and thunderstorm alerts and it is dark as pitch out right now.  Hope all this weather blows away and leaves us with nice weather for the NSS. Meaning the winds die down, the rain/snow goes away, the sun comes out, but it is not too hot.

See everyone in Denver!!
