| How far are you from Traverse City? There is a jump this weekend there at Cherry Fest! I am heading there now! It is about 5 am. Call me if you are not too far from there and want to swing down. 231-740-5346. |

Here are some new pics from this weekends dock jumping competition. Moose jumped well. Got a new personal best of 14'11" and won the Junior division on Saturday. Tundra still doesn't like the pool. She jumped one time with a nudge from mom but that was it for the weekend. She swam a lot though so that is good. She made us laugh histaricly on Friday night with her drool at the camp ground and you will see that picture below! The dog in the orange vest is Oskar. He is a 5 year old GSP that jumps as well. And there were a couple others jumping this weekend. Schatzie and Champ. Champ came in 4th I believe in the junior division as well. Enjoy! Next event is in two weeks in Ionia, MI. Watter Wubbas are now in and let me know if anyone would like one as well! |

| The last picture of the GSP we found out is a half sister to Tundra. They have the same dad "Fritz" out of Crosswind Kennels here in Michigan. That was fun to meet them! |

Wow great pictures. Way to go Moose.
I see Tundra has the infamous drool ribbons my girl's love to do when food is near.
Sorry I wasn't able to make it down there, something came up at the last minute. After seeing the pictures I wish I would of went. I can just see Star taking a running leap off the dock even though she hasn't done it before. She runs on the boat ramps, but I wont let her jump off them because of the shallow water. |

| I have a GSP that loves to swim and retreive and jump into the water. He would be very good at this. How do you find out about these competions and the rules. |

| There are different organizations that put on events throughout the country but the one that Moose and Gunther and their teammates compete at is Ultimate Air Dogs which you can find at www.ultimateairdogs.net. You can find their schedule of events there. |

Tundra's drool picture was way after feeding time. It was soooo funny. We laughed so loud at that picture people were probably wondering what the heck was going on at our camp site. Oh well. The next competition Moose and Tundra will be at is at the Ionia Free Fair here in Michigan. If any of you need info on that let me know! I would love to see a huge crowd of GSP's there! |

The drool thing cracks me up. Bogart usually leaves a trail from his water dish through the front hall into the kitchen and living room. I used to have clean floors! My standards have dropped considerably since Bo joined our lives |

Wow...cool dogs, cool photos! I am still looking for the right lake to do this in, next year. I might have to move... Re Wubba, I can attest, my GSP pup loves her, she plays with it, by herself, for hours, tossing it around. I forgot that it floats - that will come in handy! |

Wow you went digging for this post! Ha. That is old. No big deal that is good to relive the past. I will have to post a topic soon on how our 2008 season went! It was great fun. |

I love looking at these pictures! Jackson has been jumping off the bow of our boat and also off of a dock 4-5 feet off the water on his own and recently did a superman move off the side of boat (while it is moving) when we get close to our island...(this has not been a good thing though!) He loves to jump in the water, but how do you get them to jump so high and far! I want to use his fearless attitude and mold it into something great! |

Jodi,
I'm happy to hear that Jackson has turned into a water dog. It doesn't seem that long ago he didn't like the water. How did you get him to change his mind?

He has actually always loved water.....he just used to sink because he had bad form....so he would never go in deep water. He seems to have figured it out and can survive without a lifejacket. now...he still is not the most graceful swimmer around, but it does not stop him from diving in! |
