OK, I misread. The information I was sent states clearly that for entry into Canada, all that is needed is a rabies vaccination, current within the last three years. If one flew in, the airlines would require a helath certificate, but I can attest that one is not neede to cross the border in a car. Humans must have a passport. Returning to the US, the rabies vaccination must have been given over 30 days prior and within one year. Some US states also require annual rabies vaccinations. NJ does not, but others definitely do and this may be the defualt Federal law. Now perhaps the law has been changed, but that is what I have been told. Elanor in NJ

Ask your vet for a health certificate, it merely says dog has been examined by a lisc vet, and it is up to date on all vaccines, and in good health. They generally don't charge more then an office visit and a look over, and you should be on your way. sure you can... my mother gets them for the cats and all the dogs we have.
