lauralee -  We have that same saying in Texas. Of course, it has been gorgeous and about 85 out for the last three days.  I noticed today that the trees and bushes are starting to bloom and the bluebonnets are now showing up. Must be spring in Texas. Now if we would only get some rain.

It was about 60 on Sunday, we got 6 inches of snow Monday & a thick layer of icy frost on my windshield this morning! I am definitely ready for spring.

I am sitting here waiting for the Blizzard!! We are supposed to start getting snow by noon, up to 1 foot!! It's 0 out right now & you know what Ron is doing??? It is 8:00 am & he just left to go ice fishing!! Took Ruger with him. I told him to take food & a sleeping bag in case he can't see to get off the lake.

LOL This was on Sat. It was beautiful out, in the 20"s We did a ride for Cancer, over 100 snowmobiles, our group did 166 miles. Our snowmobile club gives the Relay for Life .25cents for every mile each person rode. Still have a ride Wed. night to one of the shelters for a hot dog cook-out, & ride to a steak fry on Sat night. It won't be long before the sleds get put away for another year

We also have the same saying here in Michigan. We were in the 40's thursday then got over a foot of snow on friday again. Today was 40's but rained all day. Supposed to freeze tonight.

We have had a taste of spring the last week with beautiful sunny days and highs around 85, but the weather guys say that is going to change tomorrow with the highs dropping to the 50s and the lows in the low 40s/upper 30s.  And just when I had my shorts and sandals out.  The good news is we are supposed to get some significant rain.  Yippee!!  The rain is supposed to continue into Sat so I guess I will have to take cold weather rain gear to the hunt test.

You are all right!! Many of us have Cabin fever!! This pic was monday morning after a snow storm of 8.3"! Monday was the best weather day of our week. Tuesday: rain and snow mix with periods of dense fog. Wednesday: will bring more of a snow mix with 50 mile gust windsHeard the wind chill will be 5 degrees. Needless to say, Rocky and I have been and will be playing many indoor GSP Games

I can definately say that we are feeling major "cabin fever" around here and are ready for spring to start.

Today is the third day that the schools all over the area are closed because of the cold and non of the school busses are running. It is -36 degree Celsius = -32.8 degree Fahrenheit BUT with the wind it feels like.....-46 degree Celsius = -50.8 degree Fahrenheit!!! BRRRR....

So Juno is cuddled up in my bed this morning and I am definately hoping that he doesn't get up wanting a walk for at least a few hours. I am mainly tired of getting all dressed up in so many layers to get outside for our walks. I'm pretty sure that Juno is sick of it too. He will often just sit and stare out the window with a look on his face that looks like "When is this going to end?".

Oh Juno You are the coldest. Our wind chills today are just -5 degrees not -45 degrees like you. We will be sooo happy when this artic blast ends. You know you have had it cold when 30 degrees with the sun shining on you is a heat wave

This morning did a Cold Weather GSP test. Walked Rocky 3 blocks with no jacket on buckled collar at 10 degrees actual temp. Rocky did not shiver at all and walked beside me same as he does at warmer temps. Showed zero signs of freezing. Didnot even lift a paw like our GSPs will do when paws are cold. Rocky is a house GSP who is outside to play at least 1 hour a day during winter months. So I concluded, yes our GSPS really do have a dense thermal undercoat not readily available by the human eye
