I felt lucky a pitbull was there that was attacked by another dog and hurt very bad. Another puppy brought in dead who was hit by a car.

Oooh...bad stuff. Glad that Kilian is better!

When I took Tessa to the ER for allergic vaccine reaction, by the time we reached the ER (delayed by a police road block) she was pretty perky, and I felt really bad for the other folks there with a Lab that had some sort of seizure.

I just went through the same thing with my Belle. She was drooling and shaking so bad that she couldn't stand. Then she started jerking her head back and so on. I couldn't get ahold of the vet. I gave her a little pepto bismal and kept holding her and wiping her with a wet rag. Finally after most of the night we fell asleep. She was like a total new dog after sleeping. Don't know what it was. I make sure all chemicals are locked up.
Took her to the vet and they couldn't really answer what happened either. I pumped lots of fluids into her that next day and she's been fine since. Glad to hear yours' is well too.
Also glad I am not the only doting parent to hold their GSP all night when they are sick. It is a very scary thing!

You guys are not alone.  I have rushed my dogs to the emergency vet more than once for a wide variety of problems. Funny how they always need a vet outside of normal vet hours.  Just like kids.

No Kidding there. When Belle cut her belly open on the fence we rushed her to the vet. Problem was that the vet had an emergency of her own. Her father was in er for a heart attack! So we waited quite a while for the other vet to get there.
