Just wanted to let you know what a good boy Bo was this past week.

My husband came down with, what we are pretty sure was, kidney stones. He was in misery for a few days ... that combined with some icy roads and cold temps mean Bo didn't get as much exercise as he usually does ...

And he was an absolute champ. The first day Rich was prone on the couch Bo kept bringing over his favourite toys to see if that would cheer dad up .. or at least get off the couch to play. (He "knocks" on the door to be let out to go to the bathroom -- he kept knocking on the door so dad would have to get up and let him out. As soon as Rich got up to the door, Bo would go running the other direction. I found this pretty funny ... my husband did not :) )

You could tell he was quite distressed by dad's inertia, but his behaviour over the 5 housebound days was really good. And for a reward yesterday we took him to the dog park and he was in absolute HEAVEN :D

I think the dogs pick up on our energy level.  When i was sick a few weeks back my Brittany and GSP both were calm and just wanted to snuggle by me on the couch.

But as soon as my temp went down and i got up and moving around agan........so did they!

Everbell, my sympathies to your husband on his kidney stones. I had one for the first time last fall and I wanted to die the pain was so bad. Unfortunately, it didn't pass so I had to go through the ultrasound procedure to break it up. Hope Rich is doing better. :) BTW, Hans was not as understanding as Bo - he kept bringing the ball to me to throw while I was moaning and groaning. He's pretty laid back anyway so he wasn't too much of a pest.

Life is not complete without a dog!

Rich is doing much better, thanks for asking. Ya, Bo was really good, but he just didn't understand why daddy didn't want to play, poor guy

Bo's had a couple really good work outs the last couple days, so he is doing a really good impression of dead dog the last couple mornings.
