Hey all there is a nice female GSP that is under a year old in a shelter that I would like to get pulled in the next week or so. So first I am looking for a nice foster home for her. I would take her in personaly as I run the rescue but she has heartworm so with the activitly level at our house we would not help her healing at all. I would be able to provide the vet care and food and such to the foster home I just need to find a nice home that only has one or maybe two other dogs so it can stay low key for her while she heals. Once healed and such we would get her placed as quickly as possible! Any help for fostering or even donation toward treatment would be great! Thanks everyone! She is a cutie! I don't believe her family abandoned her because they couldn't treat her heartworm - it's their fault she got heartworm. Grrrrr... Anyway, I'm too far away to be a foster, just wanted to wish you good luck!

I wish I could offer a place, but Im in California darn it! Her discription bugs me. Some pet owners just arent as responsible as we are I guess. Heartworm prevention isnt that exspnsive. I pay a little under $8 a month for Heartgaurd. Thats less than one trip to McDonalds!

I know I know... this is why I want to get her out and treated and to a good family! But with how young our GSP's are it would not help her get healed that is for sure!

I have found a foster home for her. Now to work on the vet to see if they would give us a discount on treatment and maybe trying to raise some funds for treatment. Any ideas along this line? Thanks!!!

We are down to needing $200 for her treatment. I have had a donation of $100 given so that is great. If anyone wants to contribute let me know! We will be getting her in Friday.
