Good luck in the obedience ring with her.  I show all my GSPs in obedience and Belle and Halo have their CD and hopefully within the year will both have their CDXs.  I also show in conformation and the field areas as well.  Are you only going to do obedience or maybe some of the other performance events as well? Are you doing UKC and AKC events?

By the way, if you do obedience check out Rally as well.

Very nice pup and I love the background.  Great camo for the partial snow and grass.

Thanks for all the nice comments!
I am going to show her in comformation, obedience (including rally) train her for agility (I teach all of these as well) and my husband will be doing the hunting stuff with her. We have been "in" mastiffs for over 15 years and we are "phasing out" and focusing more on our shorthairs. I will be showing her mom in Rally this year also as well as the other girl I have - Rumor. I'm also going to shoot for those obedience titles - I have to catch up to my daughter and her sheltie LOL. I'm mainly a conformation person but I've trained obedience for over 15 years just haven't competed in it. I've been on and off this board for a few years and hope to spend more time here and make more friends.

Oh I've only done AKC stuff - I don't think there is much UKC or international shows around Ohio.

Heather, Bimbo is indeed absolutely adorable!!! Your pics give me puppy envy. :) Not to get too OT, but I've been meaning to email you. I grew up in Forest, Ohio which is straight west of Mansfield (13 miles west of Upper Sandusky). I figured West Mansfield must be literally west of Mansfield, but found out when I looked it up on maps.google.com that it's actually south of Kenton! Go figure. Left Ohio in 1973 after graduating from Miami U. and have lived in the Chicago area since 1980. Don't get home much now that Dad is gone and Mom moved near my sister in Indianapolis. Anyway, nice to see someone on the forum from near the old homestead.

Life is not complete without a dog!

Well you can come visit anytime LOL
Bryan grew up in Ontario (just outside of Mansfield) and I grew up in Columbus. I know it is confusing - I usually tell people we are in Marysville. We are between Marysville and Bellefontaine.

Being the political "outcast" on this forum.. Forget about "cute".. I love the intensity of the point.. This pup is meant to hunt!!!! To me it would be a shame to doom this pup to a life of conformation and show as GSP's were bred to hunt... (that comment ought to get some members going)
Sell me the pup to me and let her hunt!!!!!! She's a lot more than just "pretty"...
Great pick of the litter!!!!

Hey Hey dgrracing, some of us do both hunt & conformation. I believe that it's important to breed dogs that can still perform what they were bred for, but also with that I believe it's important to breed for the dogs proper conformation, because without that proper conformation the dog can't hunt to it's best ability
