I don't find being in the house affects my guys field ability, and I field trial, which is a highly competetive event the dog needs a lot of drive to win at. I currently have 9 GSP's in the house and all have won at trials. They are hard driving hunters too, going for hours on end during grouse (Tomorrow!!) and phez season. A couple sleep in bed even!

Man I thought I was bad. I have five in the house. My wife keep telling me if I bring another one home she is leaving. I have another one coming this spring....hmmmm.....I sure hope she is kidding!!!

You need to tallk your wife into looking at the dogs like I look at my husband's car hobby. I don't have to go looking in bars for him. If he's not in the house, he's in the garage. And it's cheaper than a girlfriend.

Much safer for me too! I know she isn't serious but this is alot of "children" to take care of. I hadn't planned on keeping any of the pups in the last litter but she came home about an hour after Doddi was born and poof! She fell in love with her. I was happy though because she was always into Weims and now it's GSP's! Weims are pretty dogs too but I like GSP's much better!!

We have four GSP's and two other breeds in the house right now. I thought that was a bunch but maybe not comparitivly. :-0 I am glad we are not the only insane ones who have multiple dogs in the house! My inlaws hate it but hey at least this keeps them from coming over.

Nice Beth! Ha Ha LMAO!! I can't wait until my new one comes home this spring! I will still bring them all in when I am home. I feel so guilty when I am in the house and they are outside. It is really crazy during deer season. They are really quiet in the house(mostly). The pups do tend to wrestle each other but mostly save it for outside. Glad I'm not the only crazy dog man (person) around!!
