Thanks mit.  Even though her overall total is down (went from 87% to 85.1%) today, her lead has been gradually increasing with the #2 dog (Mr. Mixed Breed).  She started the morning up by .4% and is now up by .9%.  Go figure.

Oh No as of Sat 1:20 pm Mix breed is 84.7 and our Halo girl is 83.7. We need some weekend voting times Go Halo

I don't know how or even what the mixed breed folks are doing, but they seem to have the ability to change the numbers at will. For example, today they were able to drop the shih tzu from 81% to 70% in 15 minutes.  If you have been voting you know how hard it is to move the needle.  So, here is my plan.  I intend to continue to battle right up to the end, but if in the end it looks like no way Halo can win, then I am going to switch all my voting to a dark horse.  If I pick one with few votes, then it is relatively easy to build it up fast and pass the mixed breed by, hopefully without them even noticing.  At this point, you ought to be able to tell I have watched this enough to know that there are some shenanigans going on with the mixed breed.  I do not know how they can move the needle so easily and so quickly without having direct access to the server or at least a server farm to leverage.  That in my opinion is cheating and so if Halo can't win, then I will give it my best shot to move someone else into the lead.  The goal at this point for me is to orchestrate a defeat of the mixed breed. First choice is Halo wins, option 2 is anyone but the mixed breed wins.

Today on Super Bowl day if you are watching the game at home. take a Super Bowl game day break and give our Halo girl a few clicks "yes" votesThis morning Halo jumped up to 83.9% and Breed Mix stayed at 84.6%.

We also have to watch out for the sheltie at 84.4 and the golden at 84.2.  I think the golden will be easy to pull down with no votes as he just jumped up into the race from a low position, so I don't think he has many yes votes or no votes which means a few yes votes and he is out of the race again.  The sheltie and mixed are harder, but right now no one is voting either way on them.  I set my macros last night to just vote yes on Halo which is why you see the jump this morning.  I was pretty frustrated after yesterday where it seemed things went kind of haywire again (although not as bad as last Monday evening). 

In any case, thanks for all the voting.  Win, lose or draw we will have given it a ride. Someday I want to meet all my shorthair friends, you guys are great.

Yes the numbers and the cadence of the site has settled down.  The server was down on Sunday and when it came back up there was a downward trend on all dogs for a while.  Kinda like the IT folks were removing votes.  Halo was impacted very much, but the sheltie sure was.  Mr. Mixed was also impacted a bit.  Anyway, on Monday things were kind of normal, meaning no wild swings in numbers.  Even the 8 - 10PM Central time window saw just a normal cadence.  The net result is today Halo is in the lead with 83.8% followed by the mixed breed with 82.2%.  Hopefully, the roller coaster ride has been stopped. 

I am not sure exactly when the voting stops as the article and the web say sometime before Westminster (9-10 Feb) which is next Monday and Tuesday.  So, I am thinking voting will go no longer than Friday and they will announce the winner in the Sunday edition.  This is just speculation on my part though, so keep voting as long as you can.

Interesting that there have been no votes on the Mixed for this entire week.  Very limited voting on the sheltie over the same period.  I guess they gave up. I will see if I can find out about when the voting ends and let you know.  Thanks for all the voting.

Voting ended Feb 2 at midnight.  That is why there has been no voting since then (except Halo). Dang. Don't know who was ahead at that time, but it was between the Sheltie, the Mixed and Halo.  I guess we will have to wait and see.
