I'm glad I am not the only obsessive nut job.  It just made me mad when I figured out something funny was going on.  That was when I setup the macros on my other PCs and started them running.  Now it is a tortoise and a hare race.  My macros working slowly and consistently round the clock vs their hare doing something funny for a couple of hours in the evening.   I also figured out last night that it really doesn't do me much good for vote no on the mixed breed as it takes about an hour to drop him .1%.  Better off building up Halo's numbers and making it hard for them.  If the newspaper has a good IT department they will notice the big spike in that two hour window and it will look like an attack on their server so maybe they will start blocking it.  The macros are just low constant noise and very few IT folks pay attention to them. 

So, at this point it isn't whether Halo wins or not, I just don't want that mixed breed winning because I think something funny is going on.

Funny thing is that voting yes for Halo and doing nothing else, the numbers have dropped on the mixed breed from 80 something down to 79.

Well we are in the two hour window where last night we got the really wild swing and so far looks like normal activity.  Halo is holding her own although a little down right now, but nothing like last night.  I am hopeful that the paper may have realized something weird happened and blocked whatever was going on so all people can do now is use the interface to vote.  We shall see as the evening progresses.  Keep your fingers crossed.

Oh I reread the first post of Texas Bell and it says till Feb 9th so the pressure is off for tonight

So the good news is that whatever happened between 8 and 10 PM on previous nights did not occur last night.  No 20 point shifts in an hour.  I guess my theory that the IT department would notice and shut it down was accurate.  That's the good news.  The other good news is that my tortoise macros are working. Overnight we were able to take the lead and have held it.  We are now at 83.6 and every tenth of a point is excruciatingly slow.  The good news is that will also be true for the mixed breed.  So, keep voting.

Same here.  I suspect they have the server down right now doing maintenance or something.

The mixed made a run on Halo between 8 and 10 again, and got up to 85 and Halo was at 84.6.  Not nearly as much of a swing again.  After 11 though Halo made a big come back and this morning we are doing very well at 86.4 with the mixed at 84.2. 

So, the odd activity is that all the top three dogs are declining in their overall count.  No one is gaining at this point.  Hmmmm!  The good news is Halo is declining at a much slower rate than the others.  She was up to 87% at one time yesterday afternoon, but around 6 PM last night that started changing. 

I don't know for sure, but it seems to be a combo of no votes and yes votes for each individual dog.  Not very accurate if that is true.  For example, a dog with 1 yes and 1 no vote would be 50%, and likewise a dog with 100 yes and 100 no would also be 50%.  Also, the largers the base for an individual dog the slower to move the count, but by the same token the smaller the base the easier it is to move the count.  In the end they say the winner will be a combo of votes and the opinion of the board at the paper.
