What a great picture. I have to say my husband & I are sick of living in the heat and have talked about moving somewhere it snows. I look at that picture and it looks wonderful to me. I won't even tell you the temperature it is here but it is to hot for the middle of Jan :)

They pretty much look like a team of Belgians to me. Please do correct me if I am wrong. I have worked 2-3 teams of them before in previouse jobs. The Budweiser horses are Clydsdales. Both types (Belgians and Clydsdales) are draft horses. I can't tell from your picture but are the horses tails docked or natural?

They belong to the neighbor, but yes they are Belgians around 8 years old ,Bob & William, LOL They have natural tails. It was really fun & the snow was so deep they really had to work hard. I am going again tomorrow, Ron is going fishing! As for the snow I love it too, but hate the way below 0 temps, been looking at airline tickets to go see my Mom in California, it was 78 there today!

Love the draft horses. We have a Budweiser brewery about 40 miles north of us so can go see the Clydesdales. Wish they had GSPs there instead of Dalmatians. You guys must have antifreeze in your blood.

that looks like fun! I am on ski patrol and I had duty Thursday evening. My middle daughter went with me to ski. It was around 6 degrees but as long as you were covered it was great except... Maddie decided she wanted to go on the slope that they were blowing snow. Not too many people were going down so I said sure lets go. Well, we hit the first gun and I was covered with ice. I couldn't see anything through my goggles they were iced up. The snow under us was ice then thick powder so you were going like a bat out of h... then hit the thick stuff and stop in your tracks. I slowed down to a slow crawl so I could get my goggles cleared off so I could see where I was going and not hit the thick stuff and next thing I know Maddie is pushing on my back. She couldn't see anything until she saw the big white cross on my back right in front of her. Luckily she didn't trip us. We made it down but we looked like a big snow/ice man. The other patrollers were calling me snow white and made us sweep that slope at the end of the night. dont think I will be going through the guns when it is 6 degrees again :)

What a beautiful team! I love draft horses, they are such gentle giants. My grandmother rents her fields out to three horses & one is an enormous white gelding named "Cupcake" (apparently because he is so sweet). :) The dogs are fascinated by him (and he by them) and hate it when it's winter & Cupcake & his friends go somewhere with a heated barn and don't return till spring.
