Wow, those are some great names! Glad to hear you're hanging in there. We've missed a couple days of work as getting from down here to upper county has been a huge question mark, but it looks like we'll be good for tomorrow. Thankfully our place and my parent's place next door seems to be set up to not have any water issues develop. Our biggest scare has been watching 10 and the bridge/road to Thorp get shut down above us, 97 shut down over the hill, so that leaves just 10 towards Eburg to get out on- and they've had flooding over the diversion dam on the Yak between here and there. The good news is that the road has hung in there and the river looks like it might be starting to come back down.
BTW, if you need more meat just let me know. I got another 100 pounds a few weeks ago and I'm not sure how much of a season we'll have from here on out, so you're more than welcome to whatever you need.
Cool names. Can't wait to see more pictures. Did the milk problem resolve itself or are you hand feeding too?
I think it depends on the breeder. When I bought Belle I got to pick her name with no strings. With Halo and Ringo I bought show quality pups from a breeder and she had a theme for her litters. The only requirement was we use her kennel name as the first name in the registration. After that she wanted us to pick a name that went along with the theme, but she was flexible if that didn't work for people. So with Halo the theme was the Heavenly litter. So Halo's full namd is Madrone (the kennel name) Heavenly Halo (call name Halo). Ringo's was the Ring litter (all names had to do with Ring. So his name is Madrone (kennel name) Johnny Ringo. I so happened with Ringo I had his name picked years in advance and coincidentally my breeder chose the Ring theme. I had been all prepared to explain to her that I had a name I wanted to use, and I didn't have too.
Ahhh, i see i see. Funny story. I got my first dog the Brittany at 7.5 months....already named "Jack". Well being partial to picking my own name and not really feeling he was a "Jack" i changed it to "Ruger" being he will be used to hunt. Some come AKC and NAVHDA registration time i find I need a longer name....hmmmm I thought, thats odd. So hmm Ruger is a gun brand and he is a dog....how about "Ruger the gun dog" It was funny as hell at my NAVHDA test when they called out my prize 1 with the full name, ahahahah. Among all the nice fancy names stood Ruger the gun dog". So I educated myself a bit and on purchase of my GSP i named him Kilian der Vogalfanger translated to be Kilian the bird hunter....and Kilian was a Irish saint doing good work in Germany. But i still like Ruger the gun dog best ananana.aahahaha
