| oh my goodness. I saw the forum posting for this and I was like hmm what could it be. I have been cracking up ever since I saw this. We visit the vet again today at 4:30. With such a big litter it is better safe then sorry! |

| yes I was very amused. Don't remind me about the sleepless nights! When we got our two kittens Bailey became a kinda like mother to them cause we found them on the side of the road and they were just 4 weeks old. We haven't been letting them into the whelping room and they have been MEOWING for her none stop so we finally let them in today and they all three curled up in her whelping box fast asleep. I have pictures that I will post of that. oh and when they see bailey eat her food they join right in like its totally normal. =] |

LOL ok I love the results of this poll!!! Sorry hon but you are going to be on maternity watch for the rest of your life!
I love your story about the kittens, I have one similar to it... When we got our kittens, Macey my older Shih-tzu took to "tucking them in" at bedtime and cleaning them throughout the day.
She still "mothers" the remaining cat when she doesnt think the little one is behaving properly

| FYI for all of you who think that the puppies will be born on New Years... Just got back from the vets and she said that she has a feeling in the next 48hours Bailey will have popped... Sigh I hold no hope anymore. I patiently (more like impatiently) wait for the signs and then it will be time. No more sleepless nights!!!! |

I don't want to sound like the voice of doom here, but I'd be very worried about it having been now more than 2 days since her obvious temp drop. Is your vet experienced in whelping or a reproductive specialist?

| Yeah the vet is very experienced. Her dad raised GSP's. There is no tension in her abdomen and you can feel all the pups who are VERY active. She hasn't been pushing or straining and all the pups are very active. After visiting the vet twice this last weekend I am not worried about it. I trust our vet. |
