Have any of you had experience with it for your dogs and if so how was it?

This summer I was a nanny for a family with a 16 yr. old Golden Retriever who took Rymidal twice daily. It REALLY seemed to help with his arthritius pain and stiffness. While Quinn didn't seem to have side effects, I would double check with your vet.

I used it for awhile with my Basset Hound (for her hips). They actually have a milder version called Metcam? (this does not hurt the liver as bad as Rymidal. I took her off of it because it made her very lethargic and loose bladder. I put her on a natural suplement (Missing Link Plus) and she is so much better

My 5 yr old female was on it for her ACL problem. The first day she was fine, then developed negative reactions, vomitting, loose stools and was lethargic. Took her off and the vet gave her another type med. She then perked right up. ACL is still going to require surgery though. My last male couldn't handle it either........................markerdown

This is all good to know thank you. I will make sure I watch Ava for any kind of side effects. She was given Rimadyl by the vet today and I was a little nervous because of the good and bad stories I've heard in the past. Thanks!

Mocha has been on it a few times for injuries and after she was fixed. We had no negative effects with it
