I'm sitting here, checking emails, etc, and Osiris decided he wanted something in the trash can.  I scolded him with a firm "No."  He then looked at me with those toddler-like eyes that seemed to say "You don't really mean that..." so I said No again.

He then did a very pretty sit for me....  and then a down in front of the trash can with his two front paws touching it.  "If I sit really pretty mommy, then will you let me get in the trash....  here, how about a nice down.... with that work???"

It's so funny, the personalities they have!!  Always making me smile!

Guaranteed to give you a smile....NO MATTER

It can be pouring rain, and I'm REALLY not wanting to take Bean out for her walk...but she just has THAT WAY, that makes it all so worth it.

I had the crappiest of evenings yesterday, instead of Christmas cheer my mailbox contained a jury duty summons and an AT&T bill with a substantial fraudulent charge - by deception - THAT really irked me big time on a day that was already "off". Tessa had one of her special days as well and pushed my buttons really hard but just as I was getting mad at her I stopped and thought...wow...thank God for that dog in my life. It was strangely reassuring to see her drag the toilet paper into the living room so oblivious to life's stupid little obstacles. I could literally feel the stress drain away just looking at that dog.

It also puts a smile on most of my students...I have a peg board with about 20 photos. Once had a student crying because she wasn't gonna graduate. When she saw the "wall of shame" as I call it she smiled and said..."are those your dogs"? Yep...just one, actually. Gone were the tears.

You mean this look?
"Ruger get out of the mud you ding dong!"

or the

"Oh you two are in trouble, what did you get into?"

Granted they get me mad from time to time; but i don't understand how people can beat or abuse or abandone these guys.

Oh I SOOOOO know that face. Bo just pulled it on me as I was getting a loaf of banana bread out of the fridge. I said "you're not getting any, this is momma food." And then he did his prettiest sit and drooped those eyes ... I told him to cut it out and he went back to something more interesting :D

They are definitely smart little critters who push the envelope sometimes to see what their cuteness will let them get away with.

I have to try so hard not to let his cuteness get the best of me! I have to remain the pack-leader, you know. But my pup just brings me so much happiness daily that I wonder what I ever did without him in my life!
