Yes, I heard we're in for a snowstorm tomorrow.  It's always interesting when we get a lot of snow in the east.  We aren't set up to handle the snow the way the mid-west is.
People freak out. Today  they will be stocking up on milk, eggs & bread.  I always ask them if there's a french toast convention somewhere that i don't know about!  It's not likely
anyone would ever not be able to get to a store for more than a day here but people tend to panic when we get snow.  I grew up in Minnesota & am so glad I learned to drive in snow there.

I hope we get some so Webster & I can go out & play in the snow & I can take some pictures of him in the snow.

Marie, we have a pellet stove also.  I like the convienince of just being able to turn it on & off whenever I want & it's nice & toasty but it's a pain to clean the glass.

these are 2 of my favorite shots of Webster & snow

Oh!! Webster looks like a  lean running GSP machine. He will will have all kinds of fun plowing thur the snow. ...Glad you have a pellet stove. I am lucky cause my husband takes total care of the stoves as he absolutely LOVES them. He even cleans the windows and love to vacuum them.! Hope you don't get too many inches. Please post some Webster big snow pics if it happens for you!!

Just push a buttons to start and adjust level of heat you want. You load the back with pellets which come in 40 lb bags (like our dog food)!! Very easy and a clean heat. Have to vacumm them every 3 days if you are burning them like we are right now 24 hours a day. No matches involved like a wood stove. Many people early buy their pellets in the Spring of the year at a much lower price so set for the whole winter. We heat 2000 square feet of house with 2 pellet stoves. Have not turned on our gas furnace in 3 years!! just use gas to heat our water as our stove and oven are electric. What I really like is all pellets are made in the USA!!! Our pellets are made in Wisconsin!! When cleaning them, just have to turn the stove off for one hour to cool before vacuuming. Our house is one level with a basement.

I love our forecasters here in PA. At the beginning of the week it was 1-3 inches. Yesterday it was 3-6, today it is 6-12 depending if you live north of I-80 or south of I-80. I worked in State College last night and the Pittsburgh station that we get on satellite said that 6-12 inches north of I-80 and the stations in Scranton/Wilkes Barre and saying 6-12 if you live South of I-80. I live about 5 miles north of I-80 so I guess I will get 6-12 either way :) I will let you know. Just finished getting most of the ice off the drive and walkway. Benelli should have had skates on. It was rather funny watching her try to run on it.
Keep safe out there in this wonderful winter weather we are having.

We finally got some real snow for Cody to play in. We have had small amounts 1" or less that didn't stay around long, but this is the first big storm and it is still coming down.(of course it happens on a saturday so we don't get a snow day, which would mean no work day for me) Here are a few pictures of Cody out playing in the snow today.

Come on Mom throw the ball...

Marie---where are the pellet stoves vented to?

We have a lot of snow in the mountains which means we will have plenty of drinking water and will be able to water our lawns but we could sure use some
snow or rain down here. Everything is brown and we just had a large wildfire in Boulder last week. 2 house and 3 barns lost but no people or animals were
hurt. They have a lot of horses and llamas in that area.

Cody boy your snow pics are just spectacular. Love snow on pines and the white wood porch and wood white fence. Just awesome!!

Pointer Fan, there is a hole drilled in the wall behind the pellet stove that vents the fumes outside.

Sorry these pics of pipes are off topic. If you want tomorrow I can post a picture of the outside of my house where the pipe comes out. Really interesting stuff!! Next week we have days that are high will be Zero. With our wind chills it will be 40 to 55 degrees below zero. We will really have our pellet stoves cranked on the higher settings to keep our GSPs toasty warm!!!

We were supposed to have my husbands Emergency Department progressive dinner here out our house last evening.  I have been frantically cleaning all week only to have them cancel yesterday because of the forecasted 6-12 inches of snow.  We decided to call our neighbors and have an impromtu dinner at our house.  We have a neighborhood progessive dinner every year anyway and this year has not been organized yet.  We had a great turn out because of the snow as nobody wanted to be out driving in it.  We had 22 adults and 18 kids.  Benelli did awesome!  I was very proud of her.  She had been outside most of the day playing in the snow and tubing with the kids although they weren't very happy with her when she poked a hole in the one tube.  She was very tired when the guests started to arrive so we put her in her kennel/crate to have a nice nap.  All the kids went over to her kennel and kept her company while we were eating.  My husband finally left her out to have some food of her own and she did great with the kids.  No jumping just along of kisses.  They only mishap we had was when she graciously took a cookie from Aiden (2 years old) I wasn't witness to it I heard it second hand from our next door neighbor.   He was holding it and Benelli came over and put her mouth on it.  She didn't snatch it she just held on and gently put a little tension on until Aiden left go then she ran to her bed and scarfed it up.  She was a tired puppy after the guest left.

Oh too bad for you Mit. A big disappointment We are in for another snow storm this afternoon. Two to 4 inches. We could share some snow with you. One little lady told me last night at work, her snow is piled so high around her driveway, she doesnot know where to put it.  Also off topic, Congrats to your 2 PA football teams, Steelers and the Eagles. Mit, are you a fan of either?? Both teams are still alive in the football playoffs!!

Marie, I will watch & cheer for the Eagles since we live closer to Philadelphia than Pittsbugh. I'm married to a Welshman so we tend to watch a lot more rugby than football.

Wow flygirl that was a heck of a lot of people! I'm glad Benellli mad you proud :)

I tried to figure out a way to get video of the dogs chasing me on the sled yesterday, but my driveway is so steep & slippery that I needed both hands to keep myself on the sled! Layla & Daniel are both very fast, but I was going so fast they had trouble keeping up (but boy did they have fun trying!)! I went down 6 times & would have done a few more runs, but it's about 1/4 mile walk back up & was getting pretty cold, so I'd had enough by then. Dogs slept soundly last night & so did I!

Wouldn't it be great to have a PA superbowl? I have to go for the Steelers (sorry Mit) I have lived in the central part of the state my whole life either Gettysburg/Harrisburg/York or Muncy and have always cheered for the Steelers.
