| We've only just got our first dusting in the high hills, which means we're WAY behind for snow. Really crossing our fingers that we're not in another drought year. |

The kids here are happy, snow day! Unfortunately, my older son had an exam at college on the other side of town and the city buses are onstrike. My husband took over 2 hours to get him there when it would take half an hour normally. We got probably a foot anf a half of snow in 24 hours. Don't you love winter....
I was out shovelling with the dogs and got a few pics. The first is Rayne and her grandma, Avery trying to shake off the snow after wrestling in it.

Eating snow!

Gail -- talk about the perfect storm eh? Bus strike and 35 cm (14 inches) of snow.Rich and I both decided to work from home today and just skip the whole ordeal.
We took Bo into the woods at lunch (I took my camera -- and even checked the batteries beforehand -- but the thing was dead ... grrr). We were the first ones in the forest and we were trying out our new snowshoes. It was great!! Bo just ran along like a jack rabbit (and tried to ride on the back of our snowshoes a couple of times). We were only out about 45 minutes, but it did the job -- we have a VERY tired puppy this afternoon. Next time, I will definitely make sure the camera is working. |

Great Pics! Sorry the snow didn't stick up your way Bev. Tugger got to experience his first (and probably last snow) last night. We had a ball. I can't believe we have had two snowfalls in the last 4 years down here on the coast. |

Ringo is so jealous. He only got to chase snowflakes and eat some sleet that was on the lawn furniture. I am planning on taking all my kids to the GSP Nationals in May 2009, so maybe we will make a trip over to the mountains while we are there and he will get to play in snow soon.
Those are great pictures and it looks like you guys had a great time. I can't believe how much Ringo and Tug look alike in the face. Ringo is now about 24 inches at the withers and weighs a whopping 55 pounds. He has passed his sister Halo in size and is about the same size as his big sister Belle. I think he is pretty much done with growing height wise, but has a lot of filling out and muscling up to do. I will have to look and see when the next show in Houston is and maybe we can get the brothers together at that time. I think it is sometime in the spring. Also, if you hear about any hunt activities with the Gulf Coast GSP club let me know. I will also ping Molly. I want to try to get Ringo's JH this spring. Ringo and I are trying to do our part to help Fritz get the Hunt Sire of the Year in 2009 if possible.
PS - So much for Global Warming, snowing on the Gulf Coast. |
