It is with great sorrow to tell our friends, at just short of 13 1/2 years old, we lost our Jebby.

 

Jeb is the reason we became involve in dog shows.  He was my Birthday gift to Tony, which is where he got his name CH V Treffend's B-Day Surprise.  From the day Tony and Jeb met, they were inseparable.  Jeb and Tony did everything together.

 

Jeb played many roles in his long life.  He was best friend to Tony.  He was great fun and napping buddy for all the daycare kids that came through our door.  He was Seth's pal growing up and special buddy when he really needed him.  When merely touching him could hurt his skin, Jeb knew just where to stand and wait for Seth to reach out to him.  He was a great teacher to the puppies that come along the way, teaching them which of the daycare kids will slip those treats under the table and who will share their blanket with them when its nap time.  He helped teach me to show, win and lose with dignity.  We had a blast going to the shows and traveling with his best friend Fannie who had almost convinced Jeb he too was a Brittany.  It could have worked if only Fannie would have been a liver and white Brittany instead of orange and white.

 

Thank you to Judie and Hal Noon (now Judie Ware) for allowing us to share our lives with him.  He was truly a blessing.  And Judie, thank you for breaking your rules that one and only time and let Jebby come with me as a surprise birthday present for Tony.  Our lives have never been the same again.
