Been a bit since i have been on the board.  In any event I thought a few of you may enjoy a few pictures of my little man Kilian.  He is now 7 months old.

And one with him and his older buddy of the home...brother you could say; Ruger 18 month old Brittany.

My how they change!!!

Boy do they grow up fast.  I love the picture of the two of them sitting together all grown up.  There are times I wish I could slow down the growing up, but then again....

I have a 6 month old and was looking a pictures of him from when he was a puppy and then now.  I need to take some more pictures.

Thanks for sharing the new pictures.  You have two beautiful dogs.

They do indeed grow up fast!  Well physically at least

Silly boys still are in puppy brain most of the time...and as much as it drives me crazy i prob wouldn't trade it for the world.

Really nice photos...Kilian is a very flashy dog. Love the second photo!

Oh is Kilian growing into a handsome boy Cannot believe how fast they grow in 7 months. You really do need to take pictures often to keep up with their growing spurts!!

Good looking boys!
You are lucky that at 7 months you can take him around rabbits. My 7 month old boy's recall is great, as long as it doesn't include game.
A little something I will have to work on - real soon!
Keep having fun and getting out there with your dogs. Teh seasons are short, make the most of them!

Wow! What a couple handsome dogs you have ... of course, I'm partial to Killian, but Ruger is a real good looking Brittany :D Bo and Killian could almost be brothers ... right down to the stripe down their noses. :P

Thanks for all the compliments guys (and gals).

As for Kilian and his recall while distracted by game....well it still has some work.  Initially if he ignores the "come" command he will typically respond to the "tweet, tweet, tweet" of my whistle.  If that fails a nick of the EC along with his name and whistle convinces him he must comply.  I am pleased to say though that he rarely has required any correction from the EC.  Now my Brittany..that dang dog will range out a mile if i were to allow him.  Kilian keeps in range and always is checking in with my via looks over his shoulder or a quick run past me.

8+ inches of snow yesterday!  Silly dogs were crazy in it today.  More pics to come!

Yes Kilian does look like a littermate to your dog (one in the avitar).  The best color pattern (my opinion).  Well I supose i do like how the muscles show on the white GSP.....oh heck im just partial to my color scheme because i own it, ahahahahaah.  I like em all.

For comparison of their faces, here is a pic of Bo at 7 months ...

Of course at 20 months now, he looks quite a bit different ...

Love your good looking pups!

Wow!! If we just say their faces we could not tell the difference between Kilan and Bo's faces. The thin strip down their forehead is just adorable. Now their bodies, how would you descrbe the color of their bodies?? My guess Bo would have roaning in his discrption with some patching. Kilan might have white with patching ticking. Does Kilan's coat have roaning or ticking being alot lighter in color than Bo??

Ya ... Kilian is definitely lighter ... I always seem to think Bo is lighter than he actually is. :D Bo's papers say liver and white, spotted and ticked. I would guess Kilian is more of the liver roan ... but I really don't have a clue when it comes to the patterns :P

ahhaha, funny that you ask me what color Kilian is, ahah

All i know is that he has some white in there and some liver....the difference between what "roan" is and what "ticking" is im unsure.  I do know what a patch is and kilian does have a few large patches.

I have been under the impression that "ticking" was sort of like specs all over.....sort of like many white dogs have the random liver specs here and there.  I "though" roan is where the color pattern is is sort of a dense splatter of the two colors.

If that is indeed what it is well Kilian is all of the above.  Maybe i can get a good close up picture of some of his markings.  I don't know if his primary color would be white with the liver roan stuff....or liver with the white roan stuff.  I do know that he has a few ares on his paws and legs that have some defined clear white tiny marks, size of a M&M or smaller along with the roan.

As for Bo..........I adore that color!!!  Kilian continues to darken each month as he ages.  I do like him now but will enjoy him just as much if he becomes dark like Bo.   Post some more pics of Bo up.  He is great!

Here is Kilian at week 1 under his mothers leg.  You can identify him by the marking on his butt at the base of his tail.

Here is Kilian at 4 weeks old

Here is Kilian at 7 weeks old

Kilian at around 9 weeks old

Again at about 9 weeks old cashed out with big brother.

As you can tell he is darkening with age.

Well for the sake of comparison, here is Bo's daddy ... Ch.Zigeuner Nimrod R "Cruise"

and his momma ... Nuthatch's Charlie's Angel "Mustang Sally"

He definitely leans more towards his daddy.

Finally, here is a picture of Bo's littermate ... Nuthatch's Snowy River Rider "Dundee"

Here is a picture of Bo at 8 weeks so you can see how much he has darkened over time ...
