So happy Susie, Axle is enjoying his nylabone too. They come in all shapes and flavors. Rocky is still loving his chewy evening time with his new nylabones. Good luck with your new arrival. Axle will have a new brother or sister. Nice thing about a GSP, they greatly prepare us for parenthood. Poge, our first GSP was 5 years old when we brought our first baby (MIke) home from the hospital. When I was in labor in the hospital, one of my friend neighbors sent one long stem Rose in a vase to me. On the card it said," Bring me home a brother!!" Love, Poge Good luck and keep us posted!!!
Here is a strange picture of Rocky in a solid white snow field I took today!! My camera must have been on the wrong setting

Believe it or not I do have a superman cape as our son Mike always wanted to be superman when he grew up and even wrote an essay in second grade on wanting to become superman when he grew up.
Off topic, last night I went with my husband to a VFW (veterans of foreign wars) christmas party. I have never gone to the party as I am always working the pm shift as a nurse. So my husband has never gone as he doesn't want to go alone. Well a few months ago when the VFW guy called about reservations for this party, I looked at my work schedule calender and saw I was off and would be happy to go so had him sign us up for two! Well, we arrived at the super club and sat at the bar sipping a glass of red wine. Many couples and singles from WW2 arrived followed by some Vietnam Vets (including my husband). Finally a nice elderly jovial friendly couple arrives and sits down beside us. The wife of this couple order the same wine I had and her husband ordered a shirley temple After some small talk,we moved from the bar to the dining room and sat together at a large table. In conversation with his wife at the table, she told me, "we have the most wonderful dog at home." I asked her the breed and she told me, A 14 YR (female)OLD GERMAN SHORTHAIRED POINTER!!! I ALMOST FELL OVERIt turns out her husband has had 3 GSPs one at a time thur out his life. He never hunted or did anything with his GSPs but had his GSPs as family house dogs and JUST LOVES THEM!! From futher conversation with them, his wife and he were recently married. In her past life she raised, trained, showed Bull Dogs. So being a dog lover she immediately fell in love with her new husbands GSP I really clicked with this couple at first introductions and found it an act of God out of 40 people at this party this couple sat with us sharing the same love for the German Shorthair
That was a sweet story Marie
Funny how we just seem to be put in the right place at the right time
