Regardless of what you think of him, the new president elect came out and stated he needed a puppy to fill a campaign promise. I thought about bombarding his inbox with cute puppy pix to give him an idea about the best breed around |

Ha I thought the same thing. The house and yard are certainly big enough for a GSP to move around in. That would be cool. They just need to make sure not to send the pup hunting with Dick Cheney |

I was about ready to crown you Renee! I thought you were starting a Political Topic, but after reading the suggestion of a Shorthair in the White House..... I like, I like! Can you just imagine a GSP cruising around those big halls full tilt chasing a ball! |

I think it should be one of each, after all you can never have just one.
I like the way you think!!!!

Thank goodness we live in a place where we can feel free to speak our minds about our candidate or quietly vote in secret, whichever we choose. And even if we tend to be a little vocal about our guy, we know that our friends feel just as strongly about their choice, and we are still friends at the end of the day. Every vote counts and I hope all of us made the effort yesterday. Weren't the speeches gracious and classy? It felt great to be a part of history. |

I know I shouldn't say it, but, I will anyways. It would be awesome if he got a Coon Hound. |

congratulations y'all on your new president.
figure the little girls will end up with a distinctly American breed, likely an American Cocker Spaniel, but I do wish it would be a GSP.

| The Obamas did say they are going to rescue a dog - God bless 'em. I think they should rescue a gsp & call him King in honor of Martin Luther King who must be smiling from the great beyond. |

I think of all the havoc Daniel wreaked as a pup in my house and then thoughts turn to what a GSP pup could do in the White House & have to giggle! It's a horrified, I-can't-believe-all-those-priceless-historic-artifacts=are-smashed giggle, but a giggle nonetheless! The Obamas need TWO pups who will tire each other out & keep each other company! How about one liver & one black!? |

| I read somewhere that Michelle Obama said they were going to get a rescue dog as opposed to a buying a purebred (or designer) puppy. |
