Has anyone ever seen a leash that has 2 snaps on it??  The reason I ask and maybe you guys can give another suggestion is yesterday I went for a walk with Barley and his training color just came undone....??  Think one of the links got pinched and it just fell off...  He thought it was a game and ran a little but came back after a few tense moments!

I want to know if there is a way I can hook up to the training collar and his regular collar so if the training falls off he will still be attached???

In My head I see a leash with one snap at the end then another snap up the way with a piece of leash coming off of the main leash so it just sits there not affecting him.... Anyone ever seen this???

You can buy a double lead! It would either hook two dogs for walking or do what you suggest. What sorta training collar did you have on the little kid? Was it a pinch prong? Those WILL fall off if too loose, and if you don't check the linkage before each walk to make sure it is on secure. Next time he takes off on you DO NOT CHASE AFTER HIM, get his attention and walk away from him, he'll think the game is your way! That pup is pretty reliable off lead. Bring him to our training session 11/9, and I'll work with you Chris! Lisa

Yes, I have a adjustable leash from Germany, here they are called Jaeger leash, German police leash, etc. They are SUPER, you can adjust them multiple way, I like to wear them over my shoulder (hands-free leash) once my dogs know how to heel. Anyway, they have a bolt snap on either end, one to attach to the collar and the other one to snap to rings strategically placed on the leash to make the adjustments. If you attach the other end to another collar, that would make the leash short (half its length) but should work.

These leashes are hard to find here in the US but you may be able to make one yourself. I once did using a regular nylon leash, bought the hardware and took it to the local shoe repair shop and they heavy-duty attached the hardware where I wanted it. This was you could make a leash in whatever length you need. Actually, you can just buy a long leash and one snap (hardware store should have it) and have the second snap attached to where the handle is and voila!

Here is a link to LDS leather, pricey, but their stuff is top quality. Just scroll down to "German Patrol leash" for photo.

Was that a prong collar you used? If so, check the links for looseness, they wear over time, you may want to replace the "weak link" with a new one.

This website has an attachment called the "Oscar's Attachment" that looks like it would work for what you need. They have some other neat rope leashes on that website, too.
