New collar time- and now with boomerang tags! For those that have never checked them out before, they are WONDERFUL tags made out of some nice quality stainless that should outlast the dogs. I've had brass plates done in the past but the rivits would eventually fatigue.
I had emailed the maker and asked if their tags worked with the plastic coated orange hunting collars I like so much, and the result wasn't terribly positive. However, I went ahead and ordered 3 of their 1" 'double thick' tags and tried it.
As it turns out, with some prying I can just get the tab over the rivits used on the flat O ring in the center of the collar. So between that and just being buckled on, these suckers should NEVER come off. I had printed "reward-chipped" instead of names, both home and cell numbers, a physical address, plus a webmail address.... I figure that should cover all possible bases for getting the dog home fast even if they get lost up in Canada (we may be headed up there for a fun run next month).
Where did you find them? All I ever found is the brass ones. Also I have heard that some dogs are getting cancer from the micro chips? Anyone else heard of this? I would like to have mine done but I would like some more information first?
Thanks for the post. I ordered
