I saw a beautiful B&W girl in a rescue in NY. If only I could convince my husband that Bo needs a playmate :(

:-) Marie,

That was actually Percy when he was about 3-4 months old, with our Big Tomcat "Magic" and yea, he was probably about 30 pounds of Tom! Really cool cat that was mine and the dogs buddy! I think he thought he was a dog!

Money will buy a fine dog, but only kindness will make him wag his tail.

How do you post pictures on the forum? sorry..

when you upload to photobucket, you can also copy/paste the [I.MG] [/IM.G] tag directly into your response....there are four options or links below your preview picture, and it is the IMG Code at the bottom

copy the link, paste into response...and wha-la....

Are there black GSPs?

I got a lesson on black GSPs while searching for the sire of my pup. (Thanks again Bruce). Jackson is a solid liver. The dam was liver and white patched. The sire who turned out to be the same as Gunner's dad was a solid black.

Welcome to the site. There are so many helpful and knowledgeable people here that all of your questions will be answered!

Here is a fun pix of Jackson

Well, it will take me a considerable amount of time some day to be able to figure out exactly how to post pictures. (Even with ithe earlier instructions.) Bruce is right, I do own two black and white GSPs and the white and liver son of one of them. I compete extensively in AKC with my black and white GSPs.

Sydney is 12-years old, and an AKC Obedience Trial Champion, now retired. (Sire was liver and white and dam was black and white and imported from Australia.) 11-month old Soleil is also black and white and is no relation whatsoever to Sydney. (She is the product of a liver and white to solid black breeding.) She has three JH legs and just finished her UKC breed championship. 7-year old Price is white and liver ticked and is an AKC breed Champion, plus does pet therapy, and has obedience and agility titles as well.

Oh, and I have two sable and white Shelties. They are neutered and spayed, but compete in agility, obedience and I have just started competing in herding with one. FUN!

I bought Sydney because I loved her pedigree and just loved her. IMO, a good dog, is a good dog regardless of color. So enjoy them, no matter what pattern or pigmentation.
