lol @ doritos.

that's probably the feet, mine smell like cornchips sometimes, too.

The sweet smell originates from the head, near the ears.

CORNCHIPS!!!  Same for Osiris!!  Isn't that something!!??!  I have no clue why he smells like corn chips, but he does.  Sometimes I call him Corn Chip.  LOL

Then sometimes he just smells like a sweaty BUTT.   That's when he gets a bath.

Oden usually smells like wet dog.  He can't drink out of his water bowl w/o swimming in it.  I think I need to bolt it to the floor.

p.s.  Based on what everybody else has posted here...I think my dog is the smelly kid in the class.  We might have to work on that.

The wife and I were commenting on how Buddy smells the other night, he actually smells like almost nothing, he swims in our pool 2 to 3 times a day, even wet we really can't smell him. We call him the cleanest dog in the city, on the other hand our Brittany has the wet dog smell after she gets wet??

I thought I was the only person who smells their dog. Every once in a while I will smell Webster's head. I can't equate the smell to anything familiar but I agree with Renee, it's comforting.

Bolting the bowl to the floor will do no good. Then they'll scoop the water out with their paws . Trust me on this.

Bo normally smells like salmon, since we stuff his chew bones with salmon treats. Yech!

SURELY.............Someone has a logical explanation, for why our dogs smell soooooo GOOD ?

I was doing some thinking, during our walk today, and I've decided >> BE IT not logical or even probable...

They smell good, so they can CREEP up on the birds , without the birds   sensing The presence of the all MIGHTY GSP

My vet has always advised me to sniff my shih-tzus ears... Healthy ears are supposed to have a corn chip smell, but if I smell something like baking bread, or yeast or anything sour then that is a sign of infection or parasites.

If mine haven't been rolling in something stinky, they usually smell a lot like dryer sheets. Partly from lying on sheets and couch covers that I have washed, partly from stealing my clean laundry and mostly from stealing dryer sheets (new or used, whatever they can get their paws on) and rubbing themselves all over them. :D

I just went out to smell Beau. He is sleeping in the sunroom. He has a musty type smell. And of course his feet smell like fritos. He gave me one of those looks.
