I had to board Webster (31/2 yrsold) for 4 days. I've boarded him before so this isn't a new experience. Since he's been home at 2:45am he insists on going out. The first night I thought maybe he had a bit of loose stool but that wasn't the case. Last night I just tried to ignore him, but you know how persistent the little buggers are so I ended up letting him out. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to stop this awful change of schedule? I need my beauty sleep
I would just be sure to put him out right before you go to bed, and make sure he does his business. Also, you might try feeding him a little earlier so he has time to digest his dinner and do his business before bed time. Other than that I wouldn't worry too much about it as it should correct itself when he gets back into his routine at home. Ever once in a while one of my girls will insist on going out in the middle of the night, I will usually try the go back to bed command. Sometimes they do and no other noise from them. If they persist, I get up and let them out and they do have to go, so I don't get upset. As long as they have to go, then I don't mind getting up.
