I thought everyone with pups on the board should post some photos of their pups to see how much they are growing and changing.

Twiggy is 24 weeks in these photos and they were taken today.

Both pups are cute. Is Twiggy the one that broke her leg when she was younger? I will post some new ones of Bailey soon, she just turned 8 months old.

Yeah, she is the one who broke her leg. She is still a little off when she trots, unfortunately. Hopefully that'll go away with time. You should get some more photos up of your pup!

Thanks! :)

All those puppies are growing so fast! Do you guys happen to know how much they weigh at their age? I'll probably head to the vet tomorrow to get an updated weight on Twiggy.

Jackson at 11 weeks

One with his 3 year old brother Tory:

Here is Jackson at 15 weeks

I could go on and on with the pictures, I think I've taken more of him than I ever took of my children.

Looking at those puppy pictures gives me puppy fever again! And I've already got a puppy! How does that happen?!

When do you find out which is yours -- at 7-8 weeks? Are you going to show him as well?

Also, how close is Halo to finishing?

We will do the final decision on the puppy at 8 weeks, but I usually have a good idea a bit earlier than that.  Also, Molly, the breeder, will give me her input from watching them for 8 weeks.  I will probably get to see them, maybe next week, as we have to go to Houston.

Halo is half way to finishing with one major under her belt.  If I could and would travel more she would be finished.  Also, if I got a pro to handle her she would be closer, but I got into showing to do it myself and she is my first conformation dog.  So, I am pretty proud that she and I together have earned the points.  I did pull her out for a year to let her mature and since she has been back she has done much better.  I will also show Ringo when he is old enough.

Belle was my first obedience dog and she has a CD and I may show her to a CDX.  She doesn't like it too much though, so I haven't pushed her.  Once Halo has her CH I will go straight to obedience with her and she is trained now to go straight through and get her CD and CDX.  I will probably continue obedience with her and she is a stellar obedience dog.

I also do flyball with both and that is a great energy release and conditioning sport.  They have to be in top shape for flyball.  Someday, I may get to agility too.  I am also thinking about training all three together to do bird hunting.

So many things to do and so little time.  I think I need to retire.

I am hoping to show Halo at Reliant on Sat and Sun and have made reservations.  I will make a final decision when it gets closer to the closing date.  Maybe we can all meet there.  I think Phyllis (singltrak) will be there too, and jdavis is planning on coming over to the show.
