I know!! I would rather give the horse to someone that allow it to go like that. The bad part is that there are plenty of people with horses that live around those people and they never asked for help. Although my aunt has over 13 horses she would have found room. We get alfalfa in from Ohio and she sells it locally and undercuts the feed store by $4.00. This has helped some people with the cost. Most of the sales around our place have shut down for one reason or another. They could even give the horse up to animal control before letting it starve.

Wow--that makes the situation even more sad.  I agree--I'd happily give my horses away, if I could find someone that could care for them well before they were in such a poor state.
