Whyizzit that the more disgusting a treat is, the more the dogs like it? Mine are almost indifferent to plain ol' rawhide. Pigs' ears and "snooters" are acceptable. Dried out pieces of muscle or tendon are very nice--esp. with bits of flesh attached. But "Pizzle sticks" are a REAL treat, second only to COW TRACHEAS. YUCK! My pet store has also started stocking something called "Porky Pumpers," which are dried out pig hearts, and I bet the dogs will LOVE those too. |

I thought the pizzles and the hooves were gross. Eeesh! We actually just found a store that sells really thick pizzles ... hardly stretched at all and takes Bo forever to eat them all up -- all Canadian beef too! Yum!  |

Cody loves to chew on pig ears and cow hoofs... I had no idea what they were so I googled pizzles to see what they were and if they sold them around here. NOT what I expected to find... LOL one of the searches even said they had long ones with handles for the squeamish. Turns out it was a pizzle whip,  the site sold kinky stuff. Maybe I could order one with a handle and use it for a heeling stick. |

My daughter-in law is getting a ultra-sound today. Do you think I dare wish for a girl???? I really just want it to be healthy, BUT, after 5 brothers, 4 sons, & 3 grandsons I think I should be due??? |

| Well if it turns out to be a boy you could always buy a female GSP for a change. Let us know how it goes. I have done so much shopping for the baby grandson that is due in June that they will not even need a baby shower. |

| I was kind of disappointed that I didn't have a daughter but after seeing what drama queens some (not all) of these teenage girls can be I am glad I had boys---not that they didn't present their own challenges mostly involving cars. |

Don't even get me started on cars, well trucks lots of them  LOL, We do have a step-granddaughter & yes she is a major drama queen She can get herself so worked up she pucks My friends that have girls, they seem that they whine & scream alot more than my boys did. I have 5 brothers & 1 sister & she was a drama queen, I was the tomboy & no matter how hard my mom tried, & she really wanted a girl, I wanted to be outside with the dogs, horses climbing trees, wore jeans & cowboy boots & wanted to be a vet or a race car driver LOL So we will take the boys glad he is healthy & can't wait until Aug. 15!!!
PS- my mom still gets upset that I am in the Fire Dept. & do Search & Rescue work, she thinks its too dangerous & that I am getting to old ,she has the last part right |

I always said proudly that I never owned a Barbie and would rather be with the boys catching tadpoles in the pond than playing with dolls. I usually rated the boys by their horses. It sure prepared me for the snakes, frogs and iguanas that my boys brought home.
P.S. Hogan---I liked the way that you enlightened us on what a bull pizzle was. |
