Welcome to

We bought two alligator hands a few years ago, and they've been sitting on our TV stand ever since. In the nine months we've had Mihla, she hasn't shown the slightest interest until this morning, when I found her chewing away at one of them.
I checked to make sure she hadn't cut up the inside of her mouth. She might have swallowed a little bit of one of the claws and some of the skin, plus whatever shellac they used to preserve it. Think this is anything to worry about?
She has shown no interest in chewing on anything other than her Kong tennis ball before this morning. This was before our morning run, which is followed by breakfast, so I guess she must have been hungry, but she's had access to the alligator hands for 9 months. Why today?
This could be the start of an amazing thread for this breed eh?... So far for Libby ( at least that sent us to the Hospital) in 8 mo are- Open large safety pin, ( somehow they safely vomited it out with food around it) and also about 6-8 Advil my Dad had in his overnight bag she got into.
(Sorry for being off your subject- hope all is well)
Everything seems to be ok, and no harm done. She had a low activity week while my back was hurt, followed by a return to regular activity, so I think she must have been really hungry. Later that day, she counter surfed (another first) for a quarter loaf of banana bread.
