I apologize....something went wrong, and it uploaded an entire folder/album. It includes all of the previous weeks leading up to this week, as well as old photos from way before surgery! I thought I was posting just ONE week, (week 9!) The FIRST video is from week 9! The rest you have probably seen before! So sorry! I'm so technologically challenged! Urgh!! I did something wrong! I tried to delete this and start over, but it wouldn't let me......sorry!! The new part is only about 1:45 long! |

I have to say, keeping her leashed and allowing her to only walk on 4 legs is really helping! Amazing! |

Thanks Kpwlee and Splat! Yes, the leash work is AMAZING! She is walking on it more and more, even when allowed to walk on her own in a small confined area. Her confidence in that leg is increasing. She literally has gone from 3 legging it, to hopping, to skipping, and now on all 4's even when she picks up speed a bit. We are walking no less than 3x/day, and also doing work on the air mattress, stepping over wooden dowels, weaving in and out of poles, etc. I even put her on a treadmill for 10 minutes a day on a slight incline, as her work at the park on the hills is proving inconsistent. She pulls hard for a bit on the harness, then stops to smell the roses! Then pulls, then stops to stalk the ducks! It's a constant stop/start instead of steady pulling. I may rig up a small wagon with a few weights in it. That was recommended. I also purchased 2oz weights recommended by a rehab specialist. I've been told by so many to do sit/stands, but honestly, she is NOT using that leg to sit/stand with. She's leaning to her good leg and using it almost exclusively. I'm going to wait until we build more muscle and will try again. Our large pool arrives tomorrow. It is 120" x 72" x 24" That is plenty big and will serve as our underwater treadmill. It's still too shallow for her to swim in. Perhaps if I purchased a life vest she would be more boyant and then would float enough to practice swimming. I don't mind taking her to the pool twice a week though....$50/wk for two, 30 minute swims. I think the more confidence she starts to have, the more she will try to use it in the pool. I will send video in a few weeks of her progress. Thanks again for all your support and ideas!
