I can understand this since Nixie seems to get diarrhea (to the point she wakes me up during the night) on occasion with no other symptoms and it's hard to decide whether to make an "issue" of it or not. I'm glad that she's not vomiting anymore!

Something I've been looking more into is Trifexis. Do you give it to Luna?

By the way, I just connected her name with Harry Potter! Is that how you chose her name?

Thank you for your advice, replies, and compliments <img src=" align="absMiddle" src="/DesktopModules/NTForums/themes/blue/emoticons/smile.gif" /> smatulewicz, thanx so much for the link, fortunately, we don't buy any of those treats, all Luna gets is her training treats and she loves those little bland things for some reason! NixiesMark, Luna has had a couple of boughts of diarrhea. During those times i cooked for her (some chicken breast, boiled hamburger meat, and rice mixed with pumpkin) and she LOVED it! Is Trifexis an antidiarrheal? not too familiar with any medicines for doggies.  Oh, and I actually haven't seen any of the Harry Potter movies  Her name just popped into my head one day and silly me thought it would be somewhat unique.  I have met many Luna's to date  but i think it fits her...

I almost forgot!! UPDATE: Yesterday when i got home from work, i found three little piles of puke outside...they all consisted of little pieces of orange dog toy!! The toy belongs to my lab who is kept separate from her, and he's allowed to have toys because he doesn't eat them. He must have given it to her (i've seen them exchanging toys). I hadn't seen the toy for as couple of days, but he loses them like that. There were also pieces in her poop...so i think the mystery has been solved. She ate fine last night, kept her food down, and hopefully that's the end of it!

I'm glad you seemed to figure out ... there usually seems to be a reason.

However, last weekend Bo barfed for no reason on Saturday afternoon. Nothing really in the pile of significance, he hadn't been out for 2 days (since we were still keeping an eye on his foot -- he ripped an entire nail of the weekend before). So we knew it wasn't food or treat related (we rarely deviate). I think he just felt blah, poor bubba. No other symptoms and no re-occurance.
