Just trying to get an idea of how much the vet costs in Ontario and i'm trying to work out how much insurance I should get.

Is $1000 per year per dog OK or should I be looking at more?

How much is it likely to cost if one of them brakes their leg.

How much is it to get a girl spay?

I know it will vary from vet to vet but a rough idea please.

Thanks

We spend under $100/year for each dog for annual visits/vaccination.

Razzie was spayed as a mature dog, so her's was more expensive, but I can find out from a friend what the cost is for a puppy (for some reason I'm thinking in the $500 to $750 range).

Broken legs ... I have no idea, and hope I never do!

We have a line of credit should something like that happen, but we also keep a fairly substantial amount aside for any unforeseen emergencies. For regular vetting and minor mishaps, I would think $1000 per dog is more than enough. It's those intangibles that can throw you for a loop.
