I have a 12 month old GSP, points quail well, but when in a brace shows no inclination to back (honour), wants to run in hard and steal from bracemate. My plans are to teach her to drop with a long cord and slowly control her into a backing situation. I don't normally teach my dogs to drop, only to stand to flush, shot etc.
Any of you bird dog people out there got any advice?
