I am working on the article about our ancient dogs. Is the experssion "dog-wise" , meaning someone who understands dogs, commonly used in english or is it something that we have only used on this list or is it just a product of my imagination?

I think the term is fine. However, you are talking to an ancient old man so who knows.

Thanks!
I write about ancient old men so in that context the term will fine, should it too be ancient. Those who are not English speaking and/or not dedicated and knowledgeable dogowners may have difficulties to understand if the man or the dog is wise but then again some scratching of ones head has never harmed anyone.....

How it "sounds" might depend on just how you use the term. Go for it. Colloquially, here in the USA, the term "dog man" is used to mean one who is good with dogs. Ted - does Hotmail filter my emails or don't you answer them

Alright! I finished the text and the selection of pictures and capture last night. The layout is Mauds speciality and I think she will work more than usually on this one.
Snow fell last night and is still falling in a lazy pace. We may have 6 - 8 inches right now. It may last for a few days or a week or something but it is unlikely that the winter came already. Well, you never know.
