This is from a Facebook posting from yesterday. Evidently all Diamond
foods (including TOTW) made in SC have been recalled.
Very happy I changed to Victor Hi-Pro Professional 6 weeks ago.
(google it...no corn!).

I've been feeding PRO-PLAN (puppy, Performance and adult NOT the shredded)
since 1987. Beautiful coats, great muscle tone, firm stool and
they live to be 13-16 years. As the old saying goes "Don't fix it if it
ain't broke". LOL

Hi
I feed TOW roasted fowl and salmon and mix
the two together. I have 5 gsps and have not had any issues. I live
in Florida
and so I would be getting the food from the SC plant. I just spoke to Pam
at Diamond Pet foods and she has stated that the SC plant has been shut down
for a thorough cleaning due to one batch of Diamond Natural lamb and rice meal coming
back with salmonella. All other foods tested fine. I asked specifically
about TOW and she assured me that there are no issues with that food. They
are now distributing from Missouri
until the plant maintenance is done. My dogs are all fine, showing no
issues. She said symptoms would be loose stools, lethargy, and vomiting. She
also stated that if you felt uncomfortable, you could return the food to the
place of purchase for a refund and the only food that was recalled was the
Diamond Natural lamb and rice. NO OTHER RECALLS>

Thanks Barbara. I had one of my females throw up her food about 3 times within a span of about a week and she never throws up. My other female just went through a bought of diarrhea, so I am being cautious and switching. I am very disappointed to find out TOW is a Diamond food product. Diamond food has had more than their share of issues with recalls. That concerns me as well. Vicki From: gsp-l-request@shorthairs.net [mailto:gsp-l-request@shorthairs.net] On Behalf Of Barbara A. I understand Vicki. So far my guys
are good and they are thriving. If I see any signs, I would switch
too. It is getting so bad with all these expensive foods, I wish you
could send them a sample of the food, just to make sure it is not bad....they
customer service rep was really nice and she said she would welcome any calls
and answer any questions.

I've also been feeding TOW for year with no issues or complaints! I looked at my bags and they say Missouri on them. Also found this listed on their website, I know people have questioned this before too!
DOES THIS FOOD CONTAIN ETHOXYQUIN? Taste of the Wild Pet Foods sources all protein meals (chicken meal, fish meal, etc) from vendors that do not use ethoxyquin. As always, only natural preservatives are used in our manufacturing process to preserve the foods.

We have a small dog allergic to flea bites. We threat dogs on schedule with a very sound flea treatment from the vets, and very really see a flea on dogs or in the house over the years. It is usually always after someone else’s dog has been over for a visit. The small dog was getting large sores and it was suggested we try a new dog food without grain. We went to Call of the Wild Bison. As soon as the dogs were fully switched over to the new food, maybe a month or so, the sores went away along with the scratching. The dogs are happy and healthy, they look great, coats are fantastic, not sure if there is a better food out there… Well we have tried them all over the years… We have been very happy with the move, and the dogs as well. They eat less, solid stools, and seems that that the change did make a Huge difference. We have it delivered every month to the house and the dogs love to be there when the new bag is opened. We have tried a lot of food over the years and I got to say for now we are happy with Call of the Wild Bison product to date. Hi Scott, I have a border terrier with flea allergies and although we have not had fleas in years, she used to still have itchy skin from time to time. Taste of the Wild Salmon has been terrific and as far as we can tell, Tara does not itch at all anymore. I have all my dogs on it except the puppy. And to make things even better, you can get it at Tractor Supply!!

I bought a bag of the bison formula the other day as I feed it to a couple of my senior citizens, as soon as I opened it the food smelled different. Usually it has a meaty great smell. This bag has a bad smell, not fermented or anything just a bad smell. I am taking it back to the store. The date on it says it was manufactured last month....so it's fresh.

Sent from my iPad We have a small dog allergic to flea bites.
I have 5 gsps and have not had any issues. I live in Florida and so I would be getting the food from the SC plant. I just spoke to Pam at Diamond Pet foods and she has stated that the SC plant has been shut down for a thorough cleaning due to one batch of Diamond Natural lamb and rice meal coming back with salmonella. All other foods tested fine. I asked specifically about TOW and she assured me that there are no issues with that food. They are now distributing from Missouri until the plant maintenance is done. My dogs are all fine, showing no issues. She said symptoms would be loose stools, lethargy, and vomiting. She also stated that if you felt uncomfortable, you could return the food to the place of purchase for a refund and the only food that was recalled was the Diamond Natural lamb and rice. NO OTHER RECALLS> Barbara Me too...I feed all of my dogs Taste of the Wild Salmon. We've had no issues here but please fill me in if I've missed something. I live in South Carolina.
