 I just got a copy of the By-Laws of the GSPCA  copyright 1947 in the mail today.

Yearly Dues
$2.00  Contributing members shall have the right to attend all meetings of the members, shall be eligible to hold office in the corporation. Contributing members shall pay annual fees, as fixed by the Board of Directors.
 
Life Dues $25.00 Life members shall have the right to attend all meetings of the members, shall be eligible for election to the Board of Directors and eligible to hold office in the corporation. They shall not be required to pay any annual fee but shall be entitled to participate in the distribution of the property of the corporation upon dissolution.
 
Sustaining $50.00  Sustaining member is intended to be restricted to persons who are interested in the development of the breed but do not desire to take any active part in the business or management of the corporation and are willing to contribute the fees fixed to aid the development of the breed.
