Patte,
In your opinion, for the outcrossing, how far back would the pedigree go for a common ancestor?  For example, If I bred a bitch to a dog that had a common ancestor in say the 3rd generation, would it still be outcrossing?  I guess the real question is, do you think the traits from a common ancestor on either side of a pedigree (dog and bitch) could still be passed down to a litter?  I'm thinking temperment here, not genetic issues.  But now that I think about it, I guess genetic issues would also be something to think about.

And the lady griping to no end about the Argentina litter, me thinks she gets it now.  But it sure has brought up a lot of good discussion.  I'm sick and tired of hearing someone say that "their line" this and "their line" that when I'm thinking to myself that this particular person hasn't bred in years and never keeps anything when he/she does!  Isn't that kind of the point??!!
