This topic hasgotten way out of hand. This is not a GSPCA list. Topics on private listsmore often than not degrade to a level of personal attacks and libelouscomments henceforth making them counterproductive. I will begin with the Non-Profit Corporation status of the GSPCA. The properdocuments for that status were filed with the State of Missouri on February10th, 2011. A check was sent with these documents and it was cashed by theState of Missouri. We have copies of those document and our cancelled check. Why we are not listed as Non-Profit Corporation at this time I do not know. But that is being checked into by the Clerk that is in charge of thatdepartment. Because we have met our fiduciary responsibilities I cannotimagine that it will effect us as a Club in any way.It would have been nice if someone would have contacted me with thisinformation privately so that I could have dealt with it in a timely fashioninstead of posting it on a public list. Perhaps a person who was genuinelyconcerned with the status of our club would have even asked how they couldhelp with this matter. Now, not only am I dealing with this situation, I amhaving to answer numerous private e-mails sent to me from people who aregenuinely concerned about our status.I have many things I need to do asPresident of this organization. This is taking away from those tasks. As far as the Board of Directors of the GSPCA is concerned. Yes, someonemade a mistake. A letter was not mailed, someone did not file our paperwork, who knows. But this is what I do know. The people who serve on this Boardwill make mistakes. We are all human. The only way that we will not makemistakes is if we do nothing. NOTHING. I do not think that this is the typeof Board we want. To chastise people on public lists for this or to threatenthem, is not right. IT SIMPLY IS NOT RIGHT. It is plain to me why very fewpeople really want to serve on this Board. Why would anyone want to serve ona Board, take up much of their spare time and resources, and continuallyhave to defend every move you make not to mention the personal attacks? THISHAS TO STOP.If anyone, any member, of the GSPCA has a question about anything that thisBoard has done, questions about policies, procedures, Constitution & ByLaws... we have procedures in place to deal with that. Contact your RegionalDirector. Give them a reasonable time to respond. If they do not, contactme. You will get a response. Demands do not go very far. Questions oninternet lists do not go very far. My intention is to get some type of question and answer board set up on ourGSPCA webpage. But that has to be discussed at the next board meeting, andit will be discussed.I haven't even been in this position for one week. The new Board ofDirectors has not been in place for one week. Give us a chance, please. If you have any suggestions, ideas, things you want us to discuss, send itto your Director. Our next Board meeting is the first weekend in June. And with this message, this topic will end on this list. Enough is enough.Thank you,Terry Chandler (gsp-l list moniter)Unsubscribing: To unsubscribe from the list, send an email message in PLAIN TEXT to gsp-l-request@web.whc.net with message text of "unsubscribe gsp-l you@email.add" (replace the email address with yours, don't include the quotes and note it is a lower case L after the dash in gsp-l).Unsubscribing: To unsubscribe from the list, send an email message in PLAIN TEXT to gsp-l-request@web.whc.net with message text of "unsubscribe gsp-l you@email.add" (replace the email address with yours, don't include the quotes and note it is a lower case L after the dash in gsp-l).
