Deborah,
Nothing cuter than a GSP puppy! We are going to small claims court on January 19 to try to recover almost $1600 owed to us for the GSA shows last year run by Don Snyder. He paid some clubs and not others. He paid the Sleepy Hollow club and not the LIGSPC we ran two shows there). He also owes about $1000 to the Eastern GSPC. There was never any explanation other than that he lost money on the shows. Since he made all of the decisions, he has no one to blame but himself IF he lost money.
So no, we at the LIGSPC, and hopefully the SHGSPC will not put money in his pocket by entering on Thursday. He runs the BASS show too. And we appreciate anyone who helps to send him the message that you can't get away with treating the clubs who we rely on to host the shows we enjoy so dispicably.

Cathy, those puppies on your website are so beautiful. I want to cuddle them and keep them.
So are there issues with the LIGSPC getting paid with the guy doing the big apple shows? I just want to be clear because I might have entered the big apple show (what the heck one more day?) but I understand there was controversy about that. I will not enter if that is the day of controversy. Thanks

Diane, I am pretty computer illiterate. I look forward to getting
premiums in the mail to remind me of shows I might be interested in
entering. And I even get the Gazette!! As someone said, I personally
like saving the fees that are paid to enter on line. It adds
up. I don't know if I'm the only one who feels that way. I guess
I'll just have to adjust.

Cathy I have been doing this long enough to know what site
is what, however infodog has a system on their "show ca lender" that
shows all shows closing by week. I find it easier to just look at one site
rather than go jumping from site to site. I'll get by, I just wonder why the
paper was not sent out. This is not a good president to set, at least
that is the way I see it!

INFODOG

The entry has been the same price for a few years, it did not go look
at shows by closing datep. There is no paper premium unless you call
RAU and specifically ask for one. But you can download it
through the link I posted, print it out and mail in your entries same
as always John. Aren't you on the show committee for the Sunday
show?

You can still save those extra fees by printing out the entry forms
from the on-line premiums, fill them out and mail them in. That is
what I do, and at $3.50 per show it can add up pretty quickly to the
amount of another show entry (even with the 44 cent stamp and penny
envelope).

$3.50 per entry can add up to a lot if you show more than one dog too.

I don't have a problem with this whole paperless entry stuff,
BUT others will, remember there are many that don't have the Internet services
that WE are accustom to. I know that not to far from Richmond VA there are
many that only have dial up . I just hope that a decision like this is
as it should be- that is- fair for all that show dogs in the ring and does not
hurt entries.

Dialup is almost a valid reason except I am on dialup as we can't get hi speed and here in Ontario,Can we have been basically paperless for years and amazingly we can print off our premiums. At least you have the Gazette which keeps you fairly upto date with shows.etc. We don't have that luxury anymore as CKC events are no longer included in print form, only online.

All our specialties in So Cal have been doing paperless for a few years. The expense of mailings was ridiculous. We do print a few just in case someone doesn't have internet we can mail it.

The decision to have paperless entries was made by the clubs hosting the MSA event and was a recommendation made to us by the AKC and Rau. Since so many clubs lost money last year and most were not paid, we need to find ways to be more cost efficient, while still putting on a special event. This was one small concession to be made in hopes that we will be able to build back our treasuries with a goal of including more bells and whistles for the future.

The three GSP clubs putting on the shows on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday are very active in the planning and debate of decisions being made and hope that you are able to support these events in any way possible, through an entry, perhaps purchase of a raffle ticket, an ad in our catalog, or just coming to cheer your favorite dogs. We would love to have big majors Friday thru Sunday, and no GSPs at all on Thursday at BASS (Leita thanks for that reminder to everyone!)!!

Cathy,
Just to let all know that you can find the MSA Specialty shows on infodog.
You have to go to the date of the show and click on Specialty shows only which is on the right side. Sue
