For those waiting for a premium in the mail for the Meadowlands Specialty
Assoc. shows in NJ the weekend before Westminster, they probably aren't
coming. The powers that be decided it would be more cost effective to have
them available online instead. So here is the link:
Any questions, let me know.

WOW - 35 dollars an entry and no paper. Now what can
we do to cut our costs? Never seen this before!

The entry has been the same price for a few years, it did not go up. There is no paper premium unless you call RAU and specifically ask for one. But you can download it through the link I posted, print it out and mail in your entries same as always John. Aren't you on the show committee for the Sunday show?
ENTRIES CLOSE JANUARY 26, 2011
Still plenty of time to mail them in.

I am entering to many shows to worry about mailing them, sometimes there is
no time to mail due to show entry changes you know, don't enter this one enter
that one stuff. I generally use
INFODOG
to enter all shows. The meadowland shows do not show on infodog when you look at
shows by closing date. I just hope folks don't miss closing dates because
of this.

The Meadowlands shows are not Infodog shows. Why should Infodog be making money off of shows they have nothing to do with? RAU has their own online entry system that is very user friendly. I actually prefer it to the Infodog one. You can enter there online directly at RAUdogshows.com. I have confidence that you will be able to navigate their system easily John . You might find you prefer it also.
See you at the shows, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. But not Thursday of course...

I just don't understand NO PREMIUM. I have never seen this before. It just
does not make the entries really get out there. I guess we will see if it
makes any difference in entry numbers.

Cathy I have been doing this long enough to know what site is
what, however infodog has a system on their "show ca lender" that shows all
shows closing by week. I find it easier to just look at one site rather than go
jumping from site to site. I'll get by, I just wonder why the paper was not sent
out. This is not a good president to set, at least that is the way I
see it!

We are in contact with Rau to determine if it is possible (and how!) to have the MSA shows available on infodog. In the meantime we appreciate everyone's patience and support of these wonderful shows. Please direct your entries to the Rau dog show site and you can enter there. As Cathy mentioned, it is very easy and user friendly.
We have been working very diligently to put on these shows and hope this does not cause any major inconvenience or for someone not to come because of it.
If anyone would like personal help please reach out to me directly and I would be happy to walk you through the Rau entry system.
Looking forward to seeing you in February!!

A lot of clubs are going electronic now. The fall shows on LI will be doing this also. They figure most people look at premiums online and throw away the ones they get get in the snail mail now anyway. I know I don't even open them anymore.

Actually all of the shows are on Infodog. You have to click on SPEC as they are independent specialties not associated with all breed shows.

Makes sense, thanks for the info Sunnie. Just want to point out in reference to this question:
"Now what can we do to cut our costs?"
Mailing in your entry will save you the $3.50 pper entry fee the supers charge for the online service.

The entry has been the same price for a few years, it did not go look at shows by closing datep.

We are in contact with Rau to determine if it is possible (and how!) to
have the MSA shows available on infodog. In the meantime we appreciate
everyone's patience and support of these wonderful shows. Please direct
your entries to the Rau dog show site and you can enter there. As
Cathy mentioned, it is very easy and user friendly.
We have been working very diligently to put on these shows and hope this
does not cause any major inconvenience or for someone not to come because of
it.
If anyone would like personal help please reach out to me directly and I
would be happy to walk you through the Rau entry system.
Looking forward to seeing you in February!!

I hope none of you will be supporting the sporting show since they never paid the clubs last year!

A lot of clubs are going electronic now. The fall shows on LI will be doing this also. They figure most people look at premiums online and throw away the ones they get get in the snail mail now anyway. I know I don't even open them anymore.

I just don't understand NO PREMIUM. I have never seen this before. It just does not make the entries really get out there. I guess we will see if it makes any difference in entry numbers.

Cathy, those puppies on your website are so beautiful. I want to cuddle them and keep them.So are there issues with the LIGSPC getting paid with the guy doing the big apple shows? I just want to be clear because I might have entered the big apple show (what the heck one more day?) but I understand there was controversy about that. I will not enter if that is the day of controversy. Thanks

The decision to have paperless entries was made by the clubs hosting the MSA event and was a recommendation made to us by the AKC and Rau. Since so many clubs lost money last year and most were not paid, we need to find ways to be more cost efficient, while still putting on a special event. This was one small concession to be made in hopes that we will be able to build back our treasuries with a goal of including more bells and whistles for the future.
Going paperless is the way of the future. Let's just be happy we can save some trees!! Personally I can't remember the last time I opened a premium and all my entries are made online.
The three GSP clubs putting on the shows on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday are very active in the planning and debate of decisions being made and hope that you are able to support these events in any way possible, through an entry, perhaps purchase of a raffle ticket, an ad in our catalog, or just coming to cheer your favorite dogs. We would love to have big majors Friday thru Sunday, and no GSPs at all on Thursday at BASS (Leita thanks for that reminder to everyone!)!!

Cathy I have been doing this long enough to know what site is what, however infodog has a system on their "show ca lender" that shows all shows closing by week. I find it easier to just look at one site rather than go jumping from site to site. I'll get by, I just wonder why the paper was not sent out. This is not a good president to set, at least that is the way I see it!
