Going to add one of my own here :-)

On Friday at Riverhead Kennel Club on Long Island John and Susan Marinos'  "Póg" (Claddagh's Lady of the Knight JH, RE) was winners bitch for two points.  John and Teresa Kepertis' "Argos" (Claddagh's Argos JH)was winners dog and best of winners for two points also.  These two are littermates and solid liver.  Had to brag because in the 9 years I have had solid livers, this is only the second time I have ever seen a judge put up a solid liver for both winner's dog and winner's bitch.  They were the only two solid liver class dogs there on Friday, so it was not a case of brown saturation :-). When Argos was awarded winners dog we figured Póg was out of luck.   In most cases, once one liver has been awarded, the rest there know they are out of luck as judges seem uncomfortable using more than one at any show.  So this was a big deal for us.  Thanks to Carl Liepman for the wins.  I had never show to him before and had no idea if he would consider a solid.

Congratulations to everyone who showed this weekend and had a good time, win or lose.  We had good weather so it was a pleasant weekend, even though we lost on the other days :-).

We got ya beat- On Friday at the Ohio supported entry- solid livers went Best In Sweeps, Best Of Breed, and Best of Opposite Sex.  A solid liver (2 different ones) went Breed all 3 days!
