All of that dead coat our dogs are blowing can be put to excellent use helping to clean up the horrid mess in the Gulf of Mexico!

I spoke with the folks at the Ritz-Carlton New Orleans today to confirm that they are still working with Matter of Trust, an environmental nonprofit, to collect donations of nylons, hair and fur, which can be used in making booms for containing oil.

Donations of nylons, hair and fur may be mailed to at the Ritz-Carlton, 921 Canal Street, New Orleans, LA 70112

Be sure to label the box- "boom donations"
